I notice a lot of bees (myself included) taking photos of their ring in the car. Led me to wonder, where do you find that your ring looks the best? What is your favorite lighting?
And don’t forget to post a picture
ps. I’ve gotta go take a picture and I will be back to post mine.

lilsweetie: Lol I dont have a picture, but my ring looks AMAZING at Home Depot haha. They must have the right lighting because it sparkles so much i nearly blind myself the whole time we’re there… and my ring isn’t even some huge honking thing! It’s awesome lol

lilsweetie: I love it the most in natural lighting — so outside. I take lots of “in the car” pics because it seems like my ring is always catching stray light beams inside the car for some reason. (Also, it feels like I spend a LOT of time waiting around in the car for my Dear Daughter — ha, ha!)
For indoors, there is a specific spot in my home office, near the window so that natural light can come through and also by my bookshelves. This is why the same blue-covered book seems to show up in a lot of my pictures. Every time I take a picture of my jewelry by this window, I think to myself that I should rearrange my book shelves.
A favorite “outside” picture:
And … my famous (infamous?) bookshelf — ha, ha!

mine looks AWESOME in the grocery store but I can never get a pic that does it justice.

I don’t have pictures, but dim overhead lighting is fantastic for my ring. Like in a theatre or restaurant. That’s when the rainbow sparkle of my moissanite really shines and it looks like a disco ball.

Charliejeorge: YES Home Depot has some KILLER lighting. Also, for some strange reason, the lights in the restroom at work really make mine sparkle.
Overall, I’d say mine looks best at dusk. It’s an OMC thats around ~170 years old or so, and what I’ve heard is that at that time, diamonds were cut by hand in candlelight so that explains why the diamond looks best in low light.

I don’t have pics of the best lighting, but the muted lighting inside church makes my ring sparkle so much! Inside my car is good lighting too!

I have a cushion cut diamond which has also been referred to as the candle light diamond, mine has a tendence to really sparkle in low light situations and it also realy sparkles when the sun is bright… Honestly my diamond looks like crap in jewelry store lighighting.
We have an elevator at work that OH boy does she dazzle, I used to take that elevator just to see cushy sparkle.

I love my ring under pot lights…but you just can’t catch the crazy sparkle in pictures!!
I do love taking pics of my rings in DH’s car..the black leather makes the diamond look so steely.

Elevators, bathrooms, and of course jewelry stores. It also looks great with one beam of sunlight pouring into a dark room, and in the shade on a sunny day. And photoshoot lighting of course.
Here’s a beam of light in darkness pic. looks much bigger than it does in life. I posted this to Instagram and it ended up on a bunch of diamond accounts and Cosmo bride haha.

Mine sparkles like crazy in the grocery store, church, and low lit restuarants. But I love some natural light bouncing around too. I am a photographer, so I am always looking at light anyway!

Next to car lighting, restaurant lighting is my ring’s BFF! I need to take a trip to Home Depot and see what this fuss is all about lol.
