My favorite thread is a poly-cotton blend.  Strong and workable.

@mrswestcoast:  I know it’s bad, but I love the ones that turn really dramatic/heated.. usually over something a troll posts, or a topic that gets out of hand. I usually sit back and grab the proverbial popcorn lol.

Some of the ring upgrade threads come to mind.

There have been a few controversial threads over the last year that I’ve been on here!

The most interesting threads are the political or dramatic (or both) ones.  When people here discuss “real” issues it’s much more interesting than discussing which charger goes best with what plates.  Not that that’s not a real issue…it’s just not as interesting.

I am always surprised at how little people here have to say about flowers, though.

I’m going to omit threads where the bee herself is unreasonable (too snarky), or threads involving relationship issues. But I am weirdly drawn to threads where bees vent about crazy bridezilla, bridesmaidzillas, and parents.

    Counting down my top 3:

Number 3: the crazy bride who uninvited a bee for not attending her bachelorette party, and then asked for her invite back (because it included a drink voucher), and even used a fake lawyer to try to get her to hand it over. Of course the bride wasn’t about to return the expensive blender the bee had bought her. I forget how that ended, but the bee didn’t hand over the voucher (or get the blender back).

Number 2: the crazy father who invited a huge number of extra guests (like 150) to a bee’s backyard wedding. The bee didn’t reply for weeks and we thought maybe she was on the run after murdering her father 🙂 It turns out the extra guests mostly realised the awkward situation and only dropped in briefly, and the wedding was a success.

    Drum roll…

Number 1: the bee’s crazy older sister who insisted the older sister must get married first. When the bee had to move her wedding date earlier, crazy older sister moved her own wedding… to the day before the bee’s! The bee finally gave up and moved her wedding a few months later. Happy ending: the bee’s in-laws paid for an awesome all expenses paid honeymoon.

On a lighter note, some of the meme threads have made me die laughing.

On a happy note, I was (happy) crying over the thread where bees donated hundreds of dollars to help a single mother.

I think the most crazy one I saw was when it was revealed that the bee who neglected her daughter to the point that the little girl passed away, and had been on here joyously planning a wedding, TTC I think, lying about how her daughter passed away and trying to console bees who were dealing with miscarriages.

@paula1248:  HOLY CRAP every single one of those sounds ridiculous.  Total sit-back, grab-the-popcorn stuff!  Love it!  😉

I honestly like the boring which dress should I choose posts. The dramatic/emotional ones are stressful lol.

Wow. You all have steel-trap memories!

My favourite threads to participate in are the ones where I can make some sort of constructive contribution (typically fashion-related). My favourite threads to lurk in are the giant dramabomb threads where Bees debate the stupidest things (typically in the “Ring” section).

And…then there are the hygiene threads that I just discovered today. Eeek! All-time favourites, for sure.

I kind of love the ones where ALL the bees go off on the OP.  Although after a page or so they get repetitive.  My favorites are either threads that are funny/tmi stories where all the comments are also funny/tmi stories (like the Fiance washing his ass thread that was resurrected today) or threads that are really different from the usual “hate my MIL” / “what do you think of this” / “my Fiance was invited and I wasn’t” types of posts- threads that open my eyes to a new idea or perspective.  Can’t really think of a good example of these outside of the Lounge threads.

Oh, I also love posts where something unbelievably sweet happens- like I think there was a bee paying a moissanite forward.  And recently a bee really wanted a dress but couldn’t afford it and the designer told the shop to give her a discount.  So sweet to see that there are still good people out there!

The ones I DONT like r ones about politics, religion, or some other topic that is just never going to be resolved and it turns into these bees being intolerant and those bees being intolerant of their intolerance…..just ugh.

    My favorite:

A new bee posted a thread about wanting to HIRE models to be her bridesmaids because her friends weren’t blonde, and she had always visualized her wedding party as all blonde skinny girls. She wanted to know if anyone had done the same, and wanted advice on where to find models for something like that. She was shocked when people railed on her. Freaking hilarious.

She eventually deleted it after complaining that the posters were mean. I don’t think she’s been back.
