Oh goodness… FH and I are in a debate about which we want to include (and our officiant is a worship pastor which makes it so much more difficult to decide!)

But my favorites that I can think of off the bat:

– Come Thou Fount

– How Deep the Father’s Love

– In Christ Alone

– Wonderful Maker

– Amazing Love (You are my King)

– Holy One

– What a Wonderful Savior

– Forever (Chris Tomlin)

– Amazing Grace (my chains are gone)

– Here I am to Worship

I’m sure if I had time, I could come up with a long list of songs I love. For now, though, my newest favorite is I Will Follow by Chris Tomlin. Love it! And I think it would be appropriate for a wedding too, if that makes sense.

@missrandirobot: I walked down the aisle to “How He Loves Us”. Definitely one of my favorites 🙂

It’s so hard to pick favorites because they change all the time. We planned on doing some contemporary hymns so our guests could follow along easier (“Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee”, the Passion version, “Take My Life” – Chris Tomlin, and “Let everything that Has Breath Praise the Lord” by Matt Redman), though we ended up leaving it up to our musicians (is it bad that I can’t remember what they chose? It was good, though :-D). Our main thing was wanting joyful songs. We also used “The Blessing” by John Waller as our recessional, but it would work for worship, too.

I so wanted to include a time of worship at our wedding but everyone said I was nuts. You have encouraged me to continue in my pursuit of this idea. To me everything should be all about the Father. I was a being created for worship!  Thanks for the post:)  For me this will be the most enjoyable part of the whole wedding process!!!

Great idea! We are taking communion, and designating it as a time of worship for everything else!

@cbrydon we took communion after our vows and ring exchange…. we did a song of worhsip too to just stop and get back to focusing on God before we did it.

It was really awesome! Definitely our favorite part of the day… I’m sure it’ll be a highlight of yours too =)
