I’d go with something edible.  Nobody keeps all the other personalized things with your name and wedding date on it.  Maybe little baggies of M&M’s or skittles, cute cookie hearts that are half white chocolate half milk chocolate to go with your colors?  Cupcakes are always fun, you can do choc cake & vanilla frosting or white cake with choc frosting… ummm mint tins, after dinner mints in tulle, I dunno- anything that can be eaten is YUMMY!

Oh, also favors are nice but certainly not required.  I wouldn’t stress too much about it ๐Ÿ™‚

The most traditional of favours is jordan almonds.  You could do a really cool black/white favour with jordan almonds – I’d look at Martha Stewart’s page for inspiration.

You could also do some cool cookies with black and white icing.

Edible is the way to go!

I think Black & White cookies would be an awesome idea and your guests would LOVE them!  We did Berger cookies (a Baltimore favorite) – YUM!

We’re doing a donation to the cancer society (my dad is a cancer survivor) and to smiletrain.org

I am a speech pathologist, so helping kids with cleft palates is right up my alley.  We’re putting mints in these boxes: http://www.amazon.com/Collection-Tuxedo-Wedding-Boxes-ACCENTS/dp/B005LDGE5Q

We got them at the Dollar Tree (10 for $1!)

with a tag that says “Mint to Be” for after dinner.

Black & White cookies, mints and licorice, you could do a candy bar with all black and white things (white m&ms, marshmallows, mints, licorice, brown or black m&ms, salt water taffy, coconut bars, candy sticks, etc.), little candles with your monogram on it, picture frames (if you can find them cheap), wine bottle toppers, all depends on your budget for favours and what you like.  Pretty much if the colors can be changed, it can be a favor!

We are having a pretty traditional wedding too, and we chose to go with wedding koozies for our favors.  We ordered them from http://www.totallyweddingkoozies.com, and we love how they turned out!  We thought koozies were a very inexpensive option, and something that our guests could use again and again.
