I know that I’m not personally going be doing favors, but I definitely think yours sound like a good idea! Edible favors are always the best option, In My Humble Opinion, instead of little trinkets that will probably get trashed soon after the wedding.

I say go for the truffles. If you want to add a more personal touch, you could always do them in your wedding colors or in a cute little bag stamped with your initials, date, etc.

I think either is fine.  The truffles would certainly be easier!

I would vote to do the truffles, you can’t really go wrong with those! I attended my FI’s counsin’s wedding last year and the favor was some type of peach sauce (which the Bride and Groom made)- we took it but it sat in the kitchen closet for about 4 months before we finally threw it away. I’m just not sure it’s worth the time and effore that you would be putting into it.

@emf51912:  i like the idea of either favour.  you can’t go wrong with good chocolate.

maybe you should make up a batch of jam to see how it turns out.  if it’s too difficult, time consuming or just simply not up to par, then order the truffles.  as least then you know you tried to make the jam.

I love Lindor truffles (I may have accidentally almost eaten a whole bag yesterday!!) so I would be absolutely thrilled to receive those as a favor & they would be far easier than making the jam.

My Future Sister-In-Law did Lindor truffles as her favor. Each guest got 3 truffles in a tiny box tied with a bow. It was cute and everyone was eating them so I think it was well received.
