I’m a fan of favors that aren’t things. As long as I don’t take any trinkets home I’m happy, so stuff like food and donations are good alternatives.

Make sure the favors are universal, I have been to weddings where the favor is pics of the happy couple, which are nice, but how many of your guests will display your pictures at their house? And I have seen CD music favors never make it home with the guests because the couple only picked their favorite type of music. I am a firm believer of do whats important to you, but if it goes to waste its a waste of money.

Gimme macarons or some cake or something to take away I can eat.  I like that.  I have got the worst chocolate cravings right now due to a monthly calendar event, and would adore somebody handing me a godiva chocolate shaped like a wedding cake. You gimme that and I’d give you the best present ever!
