There is soap made from olive oil, we got some when we were there. Also once their you could go to a local backery and get some kind of cookies and put them in a cute little baggie that u brought with you.

Croissants or other baked good, or just a great Out of Town bag.  You could also give them a note saying that you’ll print a professional photo of them from the photographer.

Honestly, going to Italy is awesome enough, I don’t think you need favors.

I would either go with something very local/artisan like a food item that could be consumed that night or the next morning…or possibly a travel-related gift like a passport case or luggage tag

@pigment80:  Food seems to be the only favor most people actually take/use. I think some sort of food from the area would be perfect!
