We are going to do wedding cake pops and indiividual apple pies in 1/2 pint mason jars. I am also incorporating hankies with our names and wedding date into the program. I will be embroidering those.
I like the heart bird seed too, so I am going to try to find those.

I’m 99% sure I won’t be doing favors. I’ve been to too many wedding where most of them get left behind. I’d rather spend the money on something else for the wedding. I also don’t feel like adding another thing to my “to do” list 🙂

If you don’t want to do something big, so something little that will get used, and if people want to take em great. For instance at my brother’s wedding they had little bells and instead of people clinging their forks on glasses, they just had people use the bells. I’m sure the hall appreciated that too!

We’ll probably be doing something edible and relatively inexpensive… like gourmet chocolates.
I definitely think edible favors (or candy bars) are the best. I’ve also heard of sending guests home with an extra piece of the wedding cake (boxed up), and I like that idea.

We’re going to do low-key favors….jordan almonds (my background is greek and that is the tradition for weddings) wrapped in something- maybe tuille or a cute fabric bag. Then with the ribbon we’re attaching (hopefully) a little dutch clog magnet- my fiance is dutch.
we thought this would be a nice way to combine our backgrounds and give people something they can eat and just stick on their fridge- hoping they will like it. 🙂

We are doing sandalwood fans (on ceremony chairs), 2 jars of homemade jam (blackberry and fig), 1 bottle of homemade wine, and a flashlight (we have a rather secluded ceremony & reception site). Also sparklers & matches. It’s a lot but we only have 30 guests. I’m so excited to make the favor bags!

Our place card holders are also the wedding favor: 1 per person. It is an elephant with it’s trunk facing up which is for luck and prosperity. Aside from that, I want to order mini lucky bambu and attach a label that reads something like “Hoping to make you as lucky as we are” or something similar. The lucky bambu will be on each plate when the guests sit down for dinner.

We’re doing up some homeade apple cinnamon jelly in some really cute jars , making our own labels/decorating the jars the same as the wedding colours. We went and picked apples this fall now they are peeled, de-cored, and put in the freezer for when the time comes to make the jelly. I wasnt going to do favors at first because like a lot of you are saying the guests sometimes just leave them behind resulting in a waste of money. But i did want to make my guests feel appreciated for coming, so i thought this homeade favor was a really nice way of showing our appreciation. They look really nice on the tables too!!

I am planning on having wedding cake cupcakes but instead of eating them at the reception (because the venue provides dessert), 6 cupcakes in a clear or keepsake box. Given that my entire wedding list is only 16 people (including us and our wedding party), it is totally doable. In addition, my mom had done cake decorating so she can help with the cupcakes. I may even do three different flavors – 2 of each kind individually decorated in each box.
Another thing that we had considered was homemade vanilla in unique vintage bottles since our theme is vintage/shabby chic and it is inexpensive to make. I might even do both.

I would rather do a donation to the ASPCA and some other foundation or charity seeing as I would feel bad spending so much on a wedding rather then something much more important in the bigger sense of things. I’d probably would have chocolate or white candy coated almonds seeing as that is standard.

I was thinking about doing cupcakes… or playing cards that I will be wraping in some nice paper with our wedding colors, my Fiance and I love playing poker etc and everyone knows it, I think it could be cute. A friend of mine that used to plan weddings told me favors are worthless that I shouldn’t do them so I’m still thinking about it.

We gave every guest a $1 scratch off lottery ticket, wrapped inside a vellum envelope with a personalized seal and a penny dated the year we tied the knot. I couldn’t think of anything great for favors, and I thought that these would, at least, not be left behind- and they were pretty cheap!

Our escort cards are doubling as our favors, they’re going to be bookmarks.

At first we werent going to do favors because Im not into the whole mint in a bag thing and other favors tend to get expensive. BUT I found tambourines that wont cost much. My fiance and his family are very musical. My mother in law and her friends have a little group called the Tambourine Girls that get together at parties and music festivals and play tambourines. It is SOOOO much fun, we do it all the time. So I thought this was a great idea to kind of make it special and unique. A big plus is that it might get more people out on the dance floor that wouldnt normally dance. Im so excited about the tambourines and so is both our families!!!!

We are doing tupelo honey as our favors!!! 100 of them will cost around $300 or so. Not too bad!! 🙂 I’m very excited to give these out, I think people will LOVE them!
