I didn’t read all of these, but the BEST favors ever given at a wedding I went to were scratch tickets!!! I won $40 off of mine, it was so awesome! They had a cutesie little saying in with them, like we are so lucky to be in love or something like that.

We had personalized card decks and a lot of people who WERE NOT dancers enjoyed playing them at their tables. Still not as cool as the scratch tickets, though 🙂

They way people can choose what they want. Now how to plan how much to purchase. UGH!!

@Liss13:  We went to a wedding recently where the favors were towels. Like the kind you’re supposed to bring to a sports game and wave above your head. Haven’t seen them since the wedding, but I’m pretty sure they ended up behind the washer or something.

we’re probably going to do an edible favor of some sort 🙂

One wedding I went to was sort of wine themed and the favors were mini wine bottles. i thought it was cute and most people opened and drank them at the wedding.

Then there was a little tea candle in a glass with blue marbles… it was cute but something you just sit around.

Another gave out heart shaped measuring spoons. I hate heart shaped things and they were too hard to use because of their shape. Not good for scooping.

The last wedding I went to, the bride made little shaped soaps and put them on tiny silver plastic trays and covered in purple netting. It was weird and frankly ugly and I still have them sitting in my house because i feel bad that she spent so much time making them.

I love the wine stoppers I got a friends wedding this summer.  I use them all the time.

Edible favors are okay by me as long as they’re good…at least I’ll eat them.  The only favor I’ve ever kept was a cute luggage tag.  If it has your wedding date on it I will probably leave it or throw it away.  I wouldn’t mind other things like soaps..or something else useful.

But honestly…I wouldn’t have missed any favors if they weren’t there.
