God, it reminds me of MySpace. 🙁
Usually when FB changes things, while it’s jarring for awhile, I just get over it. Though I do miss the streamlined way things used to be. And sometimes it seems that it really slows the site down, and I don’t like that either – but maybe that’s just in my head?

The new changes look great. I can’t wait until it is all fully unleashed!
By The Way… on an unrelated note. Your hair grew so much before the wedding! The long hair looked wonderful!

It did initially remind me of myspace… and then I remembered that awhile back Facebook bought out Myspace…. so it didn’t surprise me.
I think I like it too! When I read the article I was really scared that I was gonna hate it! But I’m kinda looking forward to the change! =) And thanks… it wasn’t as long as I wanted it since I had to forego a few trims (to get the dead off) but it still worked! =)
You can make the change now if you want… there’s a link on the article that walks you through adding the app =)

This is one change I’m actually looking forward to. There have been a lot of times where I wished I could access my posts from a couple of years ago, but unless I wanted to keep clicking “Older posts” for two weeks straight, I was SOL. I’m excited to get to see them again.

Does anyone know what the privacy changes will be?

Thanks for posting the article. I enabled the developer version and I don’t hate it nearly as much as I thought I would.

See, I don’t care much about the changes because it’s not the most important thing in my life. Seriously. I have a lot more going on rather than get so worked up about a stupid change on a website. Just saying. Really wish it was the least of my worries if anything.

I already have the new time line (you can install it there’s instructions out there if you google it).
I LOVE it! 🙂

It’s also going to be great for business! Think about the instant credibility your company culd have, allowing customers to look and review was other people wrote.

I just changed it. I love it! It allows for so much more customization!

Mine hasn’t changed yet but I really don’t care. If it goes back to closer to what it used to be (like they say), I would like it. My feed is so cluttered now, I hate it.

Right now you have to go and “activate” the change yourself… they’re supposed to launch it for everyone in a couple of weeks.
Totally agree about the business part.. DH actually has a picture of his works logo (off of their shirts) on his under the “employers” I thought it was a really neat concept for sure!

I changed it myself and personally don’t mind it. Not hard to navigate whatsoever.

I really, really hate this, because, like some PPs said, it’s like dredging up all your old history for all to see. I love the idea of the timeline, because I’d love to be able to easily go back and remember all my old posts and random memories I’ve probably forgotten…but I wish it was *private*. I know you can go and change all the stuff on your timeline but honestly…who has time for that? If they launch this at 12:01am on a Monday, for example, the next time I’d have to actually sit and hide whatever shit Facebook dredged up would be Friday evening. I hardly ever use Facebook during the week because what little free time I have is usually not spent on the computer. So whatever embarrassing crap it resurfaces is going to be there for all to see for an entire week.
The last damn thing I want to see is “Kant is in a relationhip with [my ex]”. We had a super dramatic breakup because I was 19 and had stupid ideas about how love should work, and I met Fiance in the middle of my grieving over my ex. Then Fiance and I had a really rocky relationship to begin with so there was even MORE angst for at least another year. Yeah, I’m glad Facebook still has those memories because they are a part of my life just as much as the happy ones, but I really don’t need everyone else to remember them too, y’know?
This might really be the thing that makes me leave Facebook. I’ll try it out, but I think it might just be too much for me.
