Start with some simple lacey undies from Vicky’s, nothing frilly. I wear sexy stuff all the time and never do the fluffy stuff because I feel so silly in it.

Even cotton undies can be sexy if you do it right (my DH gets more excited about cotton boy shorts and a white t shirt with no bra than any sexy lingerie). It’s more about making the guy think of you naked than it is about wearing as much black satin and lace as possible, so just be you but sexy and half naked and that will do 🙂

ETA: Vicky’s also has really simple 2 peice cotton pajama sets that are kind of slinky and come in different styles and patterns. They’re pretty without being too girly and soooo comfy to sleep in. DH loves those too.

Since you’re concerned about looking silly, put on the things you buy and practice in front of a mirror when your guy is not around.  I’d bet your SO would not care how you behaved but the practice would be for you.  I think that will build your confidence and raise your comfort level.
