@lorisli: Hi Lorisli, I recently attended a tasting at Round Hill as well, on March 20th. We thought the good was pretty good, but there were some misses (shumai, foccaccia with gorgonzola and fig, grilled citrus shrimp). We did really like the tuna tartare, potato latkes w/ smoked salmon and the samosa.

I am really curious how the receptioin food tastes- I wish they included them in the tasting offerings.

Overall, I thought the site was gorgeous and the staff very friendly. We just want to check out a few more places before making a final decision.

LOL we were at the March 20th tasting as well!!!

I had read soooo many great things about their food that I think my expectations were just really high. Most of the things we tasted were hit or miss but we did score enough things high enough that we could pick 8 hors d’s for our cocktail hour that we thought were great (8 out of the 20+ options). We actually did end up booking them for our wedding in September 2012 because the staff was just sooooo nice and accomodating – they’re allowing our dog to be a full part of our day including letting him be there for the reception which was a biggie for me.

Food is actually one of the most important things for me personally, so aside from some other additions to their standard contract, I had them add that we would get a tasting of three entrees so we could pick/tweak what we wanted to serve our guests for dinner. They seemed to have no problem with this.

I’m actually SUPER excited to have my wedding here and bum so hard whenever I remember I’m more than a year away!!!

Good luck girls!

Hi ladies! I am booking my wedding at Round Hill and I LOVE the venue, but I’m having trouble finding a nice hotel nearby that will have a place to party afterwards. Also I’m doing research for places to have the rehearsal dinner and the Sunday brunch. I would love to know what you ended up doing or any cool places you came across. Thanks!
