I would look for used feathers on Craigslist or http://www.recycledbride.com.

Did you know that you can check all craigslist sites at once by going to http://www.google.com

enter     site:craigslist.org

then add what you are looking for, in this case   ostrich feathers

You could try our company Lamplight Feather.  We have several sizes of ostrich drabs in about 20 colors: mini, short, medium, and long. These are our #1 type feather, hand graded, sorted and steamed… ready to use out of the box. We also have a variety of “seconds”.  There can be no guarantee of quality in the seconds but many are very nice. Some have stress marks or missing a few fibers or just not full enough to get out #1 grade.  It is an inexpensive way to go if you are using the feathers in a multi-feather display.  They can be arranged to hide the flaws.
