Maybe your cat ate the whole thing? Or maybe your cat hid it somewhere… I had that happen once when my cat brought in a squirrel. I found bits of it buried under stuff in my brother’s closet after it started to reek beyond normal high school boy smells. Gross, I know. Or maybe your cat brought in a bird, then took it back out? That is kind of weird. Good luck!

Another thought; does your cat have toys with feathers? Your cat might just be ripping the feathers off of those.
