Hey girls! We are coming up on the 8 months to go mark! I can’t believe it. Time is going so fast. Where is everyone in their planning? What are you working on?
I need to find a DJ. But I have issues spending so much money on music for a few hours. I’m looking for cheap. lol. I also need to take my girls shopping for dresses. My sister has been pestering me for weeks to go. lol. I am also in the process of booking our honeymoon to Disney World 🙂

I’ve done a lot…..this summer and the fall (I’m a teacher) are going to be really busy so I wanted to get a bunch done now when things are calmer. I’m currently working on our Save The Dates. When is everyone sending theirs out? Are other people doing August like SFreeman?

@bostongirl2: I’m working on sending out our Save-The-Date Cards. I just need to get all the addresses together. What a pain. lol. I was thinking of sending them out in July.
What about invitations? I was thinking about sending mine a little earlier then usual b/c of the holidays…I don’t want them to get mixed in with holiday cards.
I was thinkng July too…..seeems kinda early but 99% of my guests will be coming from out of town.
Good point about invites getting mixed with holiday cards! I was thinking mid-December, but maybe that’s a bad idea? I don’t want to go after the holidays because our venue wants the head count by mid-Jan! I might have to go with early December?

I have the venue, reception area, dress and such done. I am waiting on my engagement pics so that I can get the Save the Dates going
planning on sending those out in August, too! I started going to the gym again, hoping to lose 15 lbs by December, when I will get alterations done.

@ldybug850 & @bostongirl2: I’m sending out my invitations in early November and requesting RSVPs back by Jan. 1st.

@missjo117: Early November is when I had planned to do mine too.

Here’s where I am in planning…
- Venue, photographer, DJ, officiant, photobooth booked. But our venue won’t let us do menu tastings until Oct or Nov. =(
- Dress ordered, shoes bought. Still need accessories though
- Girls trying on dresses next week and will probably order.
- Wedding website done except for groomsmen’s profiles.
- StD and invites picked out but not ordered… waiting for the go ahead from Fiance who is dragging his feet/studying for the Bar. =P Good thing it’s over at the end of July.
We will go into wedding planning overdrive in August. I want to send the StD’s out no later than Aug 19 and I was thinking invites in November with RSVPs due Jan 5th or something like that.
