smiles4jo :  I also would try to call the office and figure out how long the wait is. If it’s a few months it may be worth the wait if you feel comfortable with that office based off research….if it’s longer than 3-6 months I would start looking for another place probably, but that’s just me.

smiles4jo :  I would call back the dr office you spoke to and see exactly how long the wait is.  While doing that, I would also call around to other drs in the area and see how long the waits are there.  You can always call your Darling Husband dr back and have them write the referral to a different dr.  I have found out through this journey that YOU have to advocate for yourself the hardest.  No one is going to make this happen for you.  You have to become your own advocate and push to get things moving.

tulipdazey :

I can’t remember my follicle size 3 days into stims, but on one hand that seems big for day 3.  But on the other, it’s only around 9 which isn’t that big in the scheme of things.  I do remember I had a few leading follicles but the rest did catch up eventually. I wouldn’t worry.

AFM I’m on day 4 of lupron injections over here.  They make me super tired for some reason.  I take my last BCP on Monday, and next Saturday I start adding the estrogen patches.

tulipdazey :  I feel like my little follicles didn’t catch up until the last minute for some reason.  With the lupron it’s the strangest thing, I am exhausted all day.  But last night I woke up 3 times throughout the night feeling fully rested like I could get up for the day.  I made myself fall back asleep each time, but now here I am during the day again and I am exhausted.  I actually can’t remember the last time I slept throughout the whole night.  Our dog sleeps with us, and even though he’s a tiny thing it always wakes me up when he shifts or I bump against him in the night.

Dfitzy :  Lupron was my sworn enemy the first week. It made me feel awful. I was tired and dizzy and nauseated all the time, but eventually my body got used to it and it was NBD. I’m still tired all the time though, and like you, can’t seem to sleep at night despite being exhausted all day long.

tulipdazey :  Lupron is evil, but it has nothing on cetrotide. Be warned if you get stuck with that miserable friend this cycle.

tulipdazey :   cbn8787 :   NicoleLyn1218 :  RE apt went well.  I mean, we got some answers, and a plan.  So I guess that’s good.  And also nice to know we have a chance!

Essentially, we have to go straight to IVF.  My D.H.’s abnormal SA paired with my DOR means we (a) don’t have a lot of time to waste, (b) most likely will never get pregnant on our own, and (c) if we ever want more than one child our best / only option would be to bank some embreyos for future transfer. SO! It’s a lot to digest.  But I don’t see any other option.

Unfortunately I was on CD5, so I need to redo my CD3 bloodwork next month, and then we can get started with a plan.  Anyone have a good idea on how this timing goes?

In the meantime, I’ve been told which vitamins to buy, and to start with acupuncture.  OH! and I’ll probably need to do something about my slightly high TSH.  I’m at 3.99 and dr. wants to see me at 2.5, but not the highest priority I guess.

I’m just so so so so so so glad I pushed for testing, I KNEW something was wrong.
