krm1984 :  Yey!! I think I may try to BD daily at this point. How long do you usually BD after the positive opk?

ROLL CALL

Your age/partner’s age: 36/37

Baby #: 3

Current Cycle Day/DPO: CD 15/0 DPO

Ovulation Date: Today

POAS Date: Feb 4 if I can hold off that long, but let’s be honest, probably start testing at like 7 dpo, so the 29th.

Usual Cycle Length: 28 days.

Cycles Trying: This will be our 4th trying, but the first that I’ve used OPK’s and haven’t just guessed.

BFP Plan (BD timing, charting, prenatals, supplements, etc.):  We had 4 days in a row, from CD 9-12, then when it mattered we had some timing challenges.  So we hit 0-3 and 0, and we might try again tonight.

Trying anything new this month? Added OPK’s to help us with timing.  Tried to have more fertile sex, but apparently we burnt out early.

For fun: Do you celebrate Valentine’s Day? I usually make a chocolate pie thing, but probably won’t this year cause I’m just not feeling the love right now. (Don’t worry, my relationship is solid, but we ebb and flow and we’re in a challenging time at the moment).

itsme1987 :  A positive OPK means you’ll probably ovulate in the next 24 hours, so I personally try to BD for at least 2 more days after getting it.

We’ll see if that happens though, parenting 2 littles and taking care of a high needs dog makes this trying for a third thing REALLY challenging in terms of timing.

itsme1987 :  We had been doing every other day during fertile week, but I think we’re going to try SMEP this time, which means 3 days straight once you get your first positive OPK.  I suspect that when I test tonight, I’ll get a positive – which will mean 4 days in a row since we just did it last night, LOL

krm1984 :  Good luck with the 4 in a row! I think we’ve only managed that once in our married life (maybe more before we tied the knot), and now we’re so old, that I think it’s what ruined our chances for getting lots of sex around O this month.

bjenmomma :  Thank you, and welcome!  I say 4 in a row with fingers crossed – this whole TTC thing is kind of exhausting and it’s hard to muster the energy sometimes (even though I love my husband dearly and he’s an absolute smoke show).

I see that O day for you is TODAY!  Yay!  You’ll soon be in the TWW! 🙂

krm1984 :  4 days in a row!! Good luck! I think based on CM that my positive will be either day or maybe tomorrow. I’m doing the SMEP too, so I may end up with 4 days in a row too 😄 we never bang that much

No positive opk yet! Ahhh. But it’s finally getting darker. Hopefully tomorrow is the day. Darling Husband told me that he’s been showering in warm water instead of hot and not crossing his legs recently! I had no idea he was doing that. 😍

Your age/partner’s age: 35/32

Ovulation Date: 2/6 or 2/7

For fun: Do you celebrate Valentine’s Day? If so, what plans have you made? We had our first date on 2/16 nearly 5 years ago so we actually celebrate Valentine’s Day on the 16th which I like because it’s more special to us as a couple. This year I am traveling but we plan on having a nice dinner.
