@brighteyedgirl:  Yeah, fair enough.  I’m always curious to hear about all the herbs that may help things along too!

Holy cow. I feel like I’m going TTC hypochondriac. I’m only 5DPO and every single thing that I feel makes me wonder if it’s a pg symptom. And it seems like every pregnancy symptom in the world is also a symptom of AF coming. I don’t know how I’m going to wait until Sunday to POAS.

@MrsPuddingface: Thanks ladies. I’m actually sort of happy to have started a day earlier than expected rather than later. Kinda happy to have started at all this cycle too. I found out Friday I have shingles so I’m exhausted, in pain and miserable, so to add being pg on top of that would have been kind of messed up. Now I can take my pain meds without worrying about any side effects and just get back to 100% by our next cycle. I’ll be in lurk mode and keeping my FX for all of you πŸ™‚

I might be joining you ladies this month after all. AF was due yesterday and is officially one day late. Tested yesterday with Dollar Tree cheapie and got a really, really faint line (at least I think I saw one) – tested today and couldn’t see anything.

I’ve been having nausea and upset stomach issues the past 2.5 days – not sure if that is a symptom or if it’s delaying my period. Home sick today so so tempted to pop over to Walgreens and pick up a FRER.

@doxielove:  Honestly, the Nexcare one is my third one and I have had problems with every single one so far. I just took out the battery and put it back in, waiting to see how it reads in the morning. I know I don’t need a new one because I just purchased a battery for it not even a month and a half ago. All of these thermometers are very frustrating.

@BumpAhead:  If you saw a line on one of those cheapies I would def say go get a FRER.

@BumpAhead:  Just so you know, you don’t have to wait to join just to show your positive test!  The POAS threads are for support throughout the whole TTC process, not just to show BFPs, but for support through the TWW, BFNs, BFPs and everything else in between.  So feel free to roll call and join.  GL!

@kamielynn:  DH will be there when I do the test, but if we get PG this cycle we might announce on Easter. My family puts out candy and a new outfit from the Easter Bunny and I would want to pull a onesie and a candle bottle out and say something like, “Oh! The Easter Bunny knows already!”.

@hardtoconcentrate: said. We’re here for the ups and the downs and support all the way through. You don’t have to just chime in when you POAS or when you get a BFP πŸ™‚

@kamielynn:  I have a onesie I bought to give DH when we get a BFP.  It says “I love my Irish Dad” because we’re Irish and that’s special to DH.  I’d like to do something cute to tell our families, depending on what holiday or time of year is near.  What about you?

@hardtoconcentrate:  I hope we can too! I haven’t figured out how we would tell DH’s family yet though. It’s bad that I plan these things out every cycle based on how far along I’d be, what holidays are coming up, and when people will be visiting.

Your onesie sounds adorable! I got DH a batman onesie because his favourite shirt is a batman shirt. He really really wants to be there when I dip the test though so that we know at the same time.

@hardtoconcentrate:  Love your idea about how to tell DH, that’s super sweet!

How long are people planning on waiting to tell DH? If I do get that bfp I’m not sure how I’ll react or how long I’ll wait, but I would guess I would tell him the same day.

Right now I’m passing time waiting to O at the moment, so not much happening here (other than BDing of course!!!:)).

@hardtoconcentrate:  Love that the onsie is personalised! πŸ™‚

had a BFP in December but then MC.. . .. . I bought a photo box (like to store printed pics)  it was a nice box with lid, I layed blue and pink tissue paper in and then included a camo bib (DH is an avid hunter), a baby on board sign, and a bbaby bottle with the test in it.

for our mothers we told them with the same box, but used grandma bibs.  And then for my Sister who lives out of state I sent this picture to her while I was on the phone with her! πŸ™‚

If Friday comes and I get a BFP again  I think I will wait at least a week to tell the DH.   Maybe Valentines day?…  I found some really cute pregnancy annoucment eggs. http://img1.etsystatic.com/000/0/6853525/il_570xN.336523649.jpg

@hardtoconcentrate:  is right. The POAS threads are to get to know your fellow POAS ladies, to support each other, to motivate each other, to console each other, and to contribute to the community when you can, and draw from it when you have to. They’re not just to pop in and show a BFP just to never show your face again. If you don’t get your BFP, you should come back, join, and get to know the ladies here and let them get to know you!
