@ScottishMrs:  I do the same thing – each cycle I think of a cute way to tell people around the holiday or time of year or whatever.  Last cycle, my POAS date was our 6 year dating anniversary and I SO wanted to get a BFP and tell DH that day….but alas, no such luck. ๐Ÿ˜‰ That’s sweet that your DH wants to be there.  Mine doesn’t know that I test early because I don’t want him to get as crazy into it as I am, which he has the capability of doing.  I think he has an idea that I test but it’s like an unspoken thing that we don’t mention. Haha it works for us.

@legowife:  Thanks!  I couldn’t wait longer than the work day to tell him.  I usually test when he’s at work (I work from home), and if I got a BFP, I’d have the gift waiting for him when he got home from work.  I’m impressed when people have these great ideas and are able to wait to tell their DH, but I can’t keep my mouth shut.

@kamielynn:  Aww, that’s so sweet what you did in December.  I’m really sorry about your MC – I hope you get your sticky baby very soon.  Could you really wait a week to tell DH??  I am the worst secret keeper ever (like all of my friends know we’re ttc because I can’t keep anything to myself), so I know I couldn’t do that.  That’s a really sweet idea, though!

@brighteyedgirl:  I never heard of this, but sounds interesting.  I will look into it and if i get another bfn this month, i might consider it.  Thank you for telling us about it.

@bunnymama:  I know what you mean, your body plays tricks with you, i totally hate it when i feel everything and consider and relate everything to preggos symptons

@kamielynn:  I plan on how i will tell my family all the time and up to a point i thought of using my fur baby, like a post card with her on it and a sign that reads “big sister”, but unfortunately we had to put her to sleep recently (long sad story) anyway…now i was thinking of making a puzzle for my parents, cause they like to do that, and give them a puzzle that may read “soon to be grandparents” or something  like that.  To DH iam not sure yet.

@hardtoconcentrate:  Aww, that would have been an awesome dating anniversary present. My DH tries to hold me back from testing early and often if he’s not home it will keep me from testing, but he’s usually home in the morning so I wake up, PIAC, then nudge him until he responds and then dip the test. I’m bad. Kind of gross, but sometimes I find it helps me to just PIAC and analyze it without actually testing and just convince myself it doesn’t look pregnant (not that I have any idea what pregnant pee looks like). Sometimes I wish my DH didn’t want to be there so badly so I could just test and not worry about him thinking knowing I’m crazy or feeling left out.

I think I won’t last until Friday to try to test again. I used a FRER on Sunday because I was at a hotel and didn’t really want to pee in a cup . . . DH was like uhh gee thanks for putting your pee stick so close to all of my stuff by the sink. Now that I am home I may give a cheapie a try tomorrow morning see if my body wants to give me any clues as to what is going on.  I don’t think I feel pregnant, whatever that means, but the anticipation of wanting my body to just bounce back normall after BCP is killing me!

@ScottishMrs:  Hahahahaa!!  I just snort laughed at you analyzing your pee to see if it looks pregnant.  That is awesome….and apparently an effective way to keep yourself from testing!! ๐Ÿ˜‰

@kamielynn: I know the feeling – I keep the early POAS-ing to myself. I don’t need DH to know quite how crazy I am. ๐Ÿ™‚

@ScottishMrs:  Wouldn’t that be so nice if we could just look at our pee and know?

@Birdee106:  It would be amazing and soooo much cheaper! You’d even be able to tell exactly when you got KU!

@chelles07:  Thanks!

All of you ladies are wonderful. It is great to be able to share this time with other people and know there is someone in the same shoes and someone rooting you on.  Even though I don’t normally reply by name because I am usually at work and have the attention span of a goldfish, I love reading all of the stories and rooting for all of you.  Hoping for lots of luck for everyone this month!

@ScottishMrs:  just read how you ladies plan to reveal once PG. Such cute ideas.

When we tell our families I plan to take a picture with a bottle of Preggo that says something like we are Preggo with DH and I in the picture. then put it with a bunch of pictures and into a Walgreens envelope and have them flip through and then come upon the photo.

@chelles07:  That’s great! I’ve seen the Preggo jar announcements before, but that’s a gret way to make it different and a surprise! I’d go mad waiting for them to get to the picture though.

I’m out. As I was getting ready to run out to grab another test this morning – AF made her appearance. So, I either saw something that wasn’t there, got a false positive, or had a chemical. Slightly bummed because I was already looking for fun ways to tell DH with a Valentine related theme. Better luck next month I guess.

FX to all of you!

Bees — after 4 cycles (5 months) of ACTIVELY trying – I got my BFP!!!

I didn’t know when I O-ed so I tested much earlier than my POAS date. Usually I can hold out, but this time I just wanted to know.

I tested Sunday AM (guessing 10 dpo, 7 dpo seems too early) at like 5 am barely awake – got all annoyed after like 30 seconds that no other line was showing, and that I wasted money on a FRER. When barely I see this faint pink line. Like couldn’t even take a picture of it – but I just knew. I showed DH and he said “yeah, i mean i see it, but its really light.”

For some reason this calm went over me – I just knew what it meant – and didn’t need to keep testing immediately (where normally if I thought I saw a line – you bet I was testing again).

I decided to wait until this AM to test again (12 dpo – guess). Went to bed at 10:45, got up, peed on the stick – saw the second line but expected it to be darker by this point. Got annoyed assuming it wouldn’t be ‘viable’ (crazy..) and got back in bed. After a few minutes I look at the clock and realize it is barely midnight …. I dreamt my alarm going off. POAS after a 1 hour hold. And then convinced myself that the darkness of the line signaled viability.

I was so mad that I didn’t have another FRER that I didn’t sleep AT ALL last night. First thing in the morning, I ran to Walgreens and after a 4 hour hold today, I got this:

EDIT: sorry for the huge picture!
