(Closed) FEBRUARY POAS (part two!)

  • poll: Do you untie your shoes every time you take them off?

I slip my shoes off and then have to undo the laces when I put them back on.

I listened to my mother - always untie them before taking them off!

I manage to force them on and off without undoing them.

I don't even own a single pair of shoes with laces.

I tie my shoes so loosely that they never have to be untied.

    I wear my shoes untied.

My baby fever is so bad that I can't even wear shoes. (??? hahaha..)

@phoebephoebo:  Yeah I’m going to the center she recommended me, even if it’s a bit far away from my house. She mentioned patients that tried for years with no success, and then got pregnant after doing acupuncture for a couple of months there. She also mentioned one patient with recurrent miscarriages, so for sure I’m going to that center. She said that once I start treatment there, I will be asked to sign a release form so they get access to my blood test results and use that information for treatment, so it sounds good. And they’re open 7 days a week!

@Turtle83:  Wow, that place sounds great. You really need to trust in them. Tbh, he told me not to try last month as my body wouldn’t be able to hold a pregnancy and he was right! He also gives lots of advice on diet etc which is great. Let us know how you get on with it.

@Turtle83:  aha. And ouch. Maybe a really silly question, but would insurance cover any part of it or the IVF? It would be amazing if the acupunture did the trick for you instead – far less invasive and expensive!

@MrsBananas:  so far so good, thanks! Nausea isn’t fun, but hey, I am taking it as a good sign. With the second sperm analysis, were there any things they wanted your DH to do differently in the meantime to see if it helps improve things? (In my TTC paranoia/craziness, I made DH stop putting his laptop on his lap, just in case. Who the heck knows if it made any difference, but he’s a programmer and spends a ton of time on his laptop. I figured it couldn’t hurt anything.)

I’m late to the game this month:

    Roll call!

    Current Cycle Day/DPO: CD 22/ 7 dpo

    Ovulation Date: Jan 29

    POAS Date/Usual Cycle Length: Feb 9 / 27 days

Cycles Trying: This is number 8. Eek!

BFP Plan (BD timing, supplements, etc.): I started using the Clearblue Fertiity monitor this month. We hit the day before ovulation, but not the day of this month.

    and for fun –

What are you going to do to ENJOY this month aside from TTC?

See lots of plays and movies and spend quality time with my 4 year old.

Um, you guys what is this?!  This is only a 2/2.5 hour hold. 12.5 hours after this morning’s test.  I don’t want to freak out, but this seems SO much darker in such a little time.

IAmTheShadow:  No, his doctor is a complete moron in my opinion and didn’t give any insight as to why his counts were low or what to do differently between the last one and this next one.  Honestly I don’t think there will be much of a difference, 1 month is not alot of time to change the sperm as it takes up to 90 days to regenerate new sperm.  I think this 2nd SA is just to confirm the previous results before referring him to a Urologist.  The urologist will have more insight into what changes need to be made although DH is already making lifestyle changes:  Eating better, working out more regularly, drinking less, wearing loose boxers, not using his laptop on his lap and he just started using Fertilaid, SpermCount and SpermBoost.  So hopefully we’re on the right track and can get his numbers up naturally.

Ah the nausea….My girlfriend had it so bad she had to keep a garbage bag in her car on her drives into work!  Hope yours gets better soon!

@IAmTheShadow:  Our insurance covers all tests up to the diagnosis of infertility, but it doesn’t cover any fertility treatmements and medications for it. So it would all have to be out of pocket ๐Ÿ™

@SweetMelissa429:  My (freaked out) thoughts exactly!!

And thank you everyone else for weighing in and the congratulations.

I’m not quite ready to officially call it, may give it one or two more FMU tests, but I think I may be joining the October mamas!! I’m in disbelief.
