I’ll go ahead and join since I probably won’t O until later this month, therefore no POAS until February.

    Roll call!

    Current Cycle Day/DPO: CD7.

Ovulation Date: According to my fertility app, the 19th of this month. Fertile days from 16th-20th.

POAS Date/Usual Cycle Length: February 1st, which will be 12 DPO (depending on when/if I actually ovulate); cycle length is very erratic.

Cycles Trying: 3rd cycle, second round of TTC. (TTC the first time from October 2011-November 2012).

BFP Plan (BD timing, supplements, etc.): BD every day/every other day, taking prenatals, walking, eating healthier, cutting out most sugar/caffeine, reading TCOYF as well as the Mayo Clinic Guide to a Healthy Pregnancy.

Link to Chart, if any: I’m charting with the Kindara app, not FF, so no link.

    and for fun –

What are you going to do to ENJOY this month aside from TTC?

Eating sushi as much as possible! And enjoying late sleeping on the weekends.

I had a question though for anyone that is more knowledgeable than I am with charting. This is my first month actually charting (using OPKs and temping), and I have noticed an odd thing with my temps. The first 6 days, my BBT was 98.2. 6 days in a row, the same temperature. This AM, it was 98.6. Is this a normal progression of temps? From the charts I’ve seen, the temperature usually isn’t the same for days and then up a little, but it could just be my body. I’ve taken my temp at the same time each day (6:15 AM), and I don’t snore/am not a mouth breather, so that shouldn’t affect the results.

I also have one more question (sorry everyone, lol). I have endometriosis; one of the symptoms of this is abnormal (brownish) discharge. I had a laparoscopy in August 2012 to remove what the gyno found, but have noticed that I’ve started having the same discharge again. Could this interfere with noticing cervical mucus? I’ve never had the egg-white kind as far as I’m aware; I’ve only had the sort of creamy white kind and then brown discharge. I seriously have never seen what people describe as the ‘fertile’ cervical mucus, because I’ve always had constant brown/black discharge from the endo.

Hi everyone, this is my first time posting to the ttc boards.  I got married last August and we started ttc last month.  I’m already 33 years old and would ideally like 2 children, so I have lots of fears about it taking us a while to get pregnant as I feel very up against the clock.  I always wanted to have my children around my late 20s, but didn’t meet my dh until I was already 30, so that put paid to that plan lol.  Was a bit upset that it didn’t happen our first month of trying as I’d have loved to have had a September baby and would still have been (just) 33 by their due date, even though I knew it was unlikely (though my SIL and 2 best friends have 9 children between them, all conceived on the 1st cycle of trying each time!).  Ah well, will see where this ttc journey of unknown length takes me …

    Roll call!

    Current Cycle Day/DPO: CD1

Ovulation Date: ~23rd Jan (CD 15, varies by a couple of days either side of this)

POAS Date/Usual Cycle Length: Not going to POAS unless temps stay high and AF stays away, so probably 7th Feb (15DPO if O date is right)

Cycles Trying: This is my 2nd

BFP Plan (BD timing, supplements, etc.): Prenatals, ED from CD10 till after O is confirmed, temping, opks and adding Preseed this cycle as I didn’t seem to have any fertile CM last cycle (TMI sorry)

What are you going to do to ENJOY this month aside from TTC?  Work’s a bit mental at the moment, but I’m hoping to have some time to get back into doing some crafting and finish a cross-stitch project I’ve had on hold since 2010!

@E_Lynne615:  Thank you so much! That makes me feel a bit better. I know everyone is different, I just didn’t know if it was my thermometer or just my body! LOL. FX for you!!

@mrstea83:  I don’t know the answer to your CM question, but your thermometer might need a new battery! I did have one month where I had the same temp 4 or 5 days in a row and it was accurate, but it’s REALLY uncommon!

@mrspitcher8:  That could be it. This thermometer is brand new though (just got it a week ago!). I may try changing the battery anyway. It’s probably just my weird body. ;P

@RainbowHope:  welcome to the TTC boards… I am still In the TWW for Jan but since I am doing nothing but obsessing over TTC I was already stalking the Feb group.

I am also 33 but we want 3 – 4 kids….. ah! My Darling Husband and I have been married for a few years but I was a dancer so always put off TTC so I too am worried it might take a while. My Darling Husband best friend and sister both conceived on there first try, so I know the pressure.

@E_Lynne615:  May I ask why you are taking Biotin? I was taking it for about year because for the last few years my hair has been falling out (goes in cycles, then stops). I stopped taking it though when I started with prenatals. And I just started to notice that my hair is falling our a little more lately.

@E_Lynne615:  Thanks for starting the February Board!  Hppefully it will bring you good luck, seems like those who start a board get KU’d pretty quickly πŸ™‚  I ran 2 half marathons last spring in the height of wedding planning.  Good luck to you in your training!

@nonapkns:  @MrsBananas:  Thanks for the welcome and good to know other people on this board in the same boat who understand feeling some time pressure straight away!  Everyone I know around me either seems to get pregnant straight away or have really major problems resulting in losing babies and/or having to go ivf routes and/or never getting pregnant.  I just don’t seem to know anyone ‘in the middle’ so I know the longer I don’t get a BFP the more convinced my brain is going to be that it’s just not going to happen for us.  DHs parents had a lot of trouble having him, It took them several years and they had given up, so he’s a bit worried about the possibility of an hereditory problem.  Keep flip-flopping between worrying and telling myself not to be silly and to stop putting the cart before the horse and just relax until further down the road when there’s a reason to worry!

@E_Lynne615:  Thanks for looking after the board this month, sorry, meant to say that in my first post πŸ™‚

@whybee:  Another UK bee!  Looks like our 2ww will be around the same time this month.  Will be nice to have someone in my time zone to keep me company.

    Good luck to everyone!

Eee, I saw this board and my heart skipped a beat πŸ™‚ I’m hoping to join you ladies, but I’m not confident enought to roll call quite yet – Darling Husband and I will be TTC as soon as he accepts a new job, which I’m hopeful will be happening in the next couple weeks.  So if that happens soon, I’ll probably be POAS during the last week of February!  I might pop into (and, let’s be honest, will probably stalk) this board until then.  Here’s hoping I can roll call soon!

The topic ‘FEBRUARY POAS!’ is closed to new replies.
