  • poll: Do you have Valentine's Day plans?

My only plans are to BD! :)

We are going out for a romantic dinner or date.

We are staying in and making our own special dinner.

We are taking a romantic trip!

    I'm treating myself to a spa day/etc..

No plans yet, but hope to have some!

Nothing special, it's just another day.

@RainbowHope: Yay for another UK bee! Nice to have someone POAS in the same time zone πŸ™‚ But good grief are we the same person?! Second cycle trying, near-enough POAS date twins and OMG I actually have a x-stitch project I have been trying to finish since 2010!! Started a sampler-style project for when Fiance and I first moved in together (ok, so 2011) and we’ve moved no less than FOUR times since… Tbh, I’m not sure where it is since our last move. I definitely need to dig that out, I’m sure it’s not far off being done… I love that someone else in my age range actually does x-stitch! Are you into other crafts as well? Fiance got me a pom-pom maker for Christmas (we saw it on one of Kirstie Allsopp’s programmes) and I am so excited to make garlands, lol. I’ll shut up now, I’m rambling out of excitement!

@E_Lynne615: We know where the nursery will be, the problem is it will involve a bit more decorating, insofar as we’ll need to knock down walls, move a bathroom…argh πŸ™ And we have just done yet another U-turn on wedding plans so I have no idea where we’ll get the money from when the time comes. Just need to get all the superficial stuff sorted first, which is all bought and paid for, just waiting to be implemented…

MrsBananas: I totally thought this, about POAS thread-starters getting KU! It would have been enough to make me start one but I just knew I wouldn’t be able to keep up πŸ™

@whybee:  Haha, we do have some similarities.  X-stitch was something I started when I was doing my PhD, was a good methodical task to help me relax, which appealed to my mathematical way of thinking, and more importantly after several hours work I could actually see some progress (unlike my PhD at times).  Did quite a few big projects, particularly while writing up, as at that point my funding had run out and I was living in the middle of nowhere back with my parents.  Have stitched a couple of Christmas stockings, a baby sampler and a baby alphabet blanket.  Current project is a picture of my nan’s dog (well the same breed).  I do enjoy designing and making things, it’s just finding the time!  Did quite a lot for my wedding, was pretty pleased with the cake topper I made (have posted it on a couple of other boards on here) πŸ™‚  Have an idea for how to break the news to my dh if we ever get a bfp, but a bit scared of making it incase I ‘jinx’ us (you wouldn’t believe I’m a scientist would you lol).  We got married at a zoo and one of our friends crocheted us a giraffe each as a wedding gift.  I have a design for a baby giraffe to add to the family, just need to teach myself to crochet.

@BellaDee:  Well I didn’t have a POAS date in January, and I was waiting for AF to get me over last cycle and hopefully POAS in January with the new cycle but it arrived later than expected. I am not sure what would that be considered. I am finally in the NTNP cycle. We can perhaps leave it blank.

I debated about roll calling since based on my progesterone levels last cycle and thinking they are going to be the same when I confirm this cycle, i don’t think i have a chance. but it is not going to stop us from trying and BDing all we can.  DH still thinks it could happen. but i like the boards, the happy and sad so here we go:

    Current Cycle Day/DPO: CD 4

    Ovulation Date:  If I O when I think I will O then, 1/24

POAS Date/Usual Cycle Length: Usualy cycle length has been 28 days, last month was 24, so POAS on 2/4/14, 1 day after I expect AF.

Cycles Trying: This will be #4

BFP Plan (BD timing, supplements, etc.): BD as much as we can, well EOD until my FW then ED

    i’m tracking but not temping

    and for fun –

What are you going to do to ENJOY this month aside from TTC? DH’s birthday falls during my FW towards the end of the month.  We are going to AC for that weekend and eating at Chef Vola with some friends.  We went there a few years ago just the two of us.  It is much better to go with a group. Has anyone been to Chef Vola’s before?

@E_Lynne615:  yay to POAS twins! do you live near AC?  we are about 2 hours away.  i think chef vola’s has become a bit more friendly over the years.

the phone number used to be unpublished and you had to know someone who knew someone.  when DH called to make a reservation the first time a few years ago the guy answered “how did you get this number, who are you?”  we were told to expect an interregation.

this time when DH called, he said the overall vibe was more friendly and now i see their phone number published in various places.

if you do have a chance to go, it was delicious.  i had the chicken parmesean and it melted in my mouth.  i can’t wait to eat there again so i can compare the food to italy.
