    I'm treating myself to a spa day/etc..

No plans yet, but hope to have some!

@Treejewel19:  Awe thanks for thinking of me. Not going to roll call. I have no clue what CD I’m on with that weird bleeding 10 days after a late period. I just got some more OPKs and I’ll use those.

However, my uncle just passed away Friday. So I haven’t been in the mood for BDing.

If we get some time in, then great. If not, I won’t fret this cycle. Things just need to go back to normal.

@AlmostMrsShield:  I know exaclty how you feel about the getting nervous about the 6 month thing… I didn’t think for a minute that i would get pregnant the first time….. and i know it can take healthy couples 6 months to get pregnent…. but I kinda thougth it would happen by 3 months… then last month I was extreamly optimistic thinking for sure it would happen the fourth month… now on to 5.  I got to say I took it really hard last night when the spotting started (early besides) I was really upset.  Sat in the bathtub and cried! I am feeling alittle better today but if i were to be honest, im starting to worry that there may be something wrong :S

    Roll call!

    Current Cycle Day/DPO: CD 6

Ovulation Date: No idea. It’s been as late as CD40 and as early as CD20.  I HOPE it’s on the earlier side, obviously.

POAS Date/Usual Cycle Length: Since O date is less than firm, I’ll say Feb 20 for now.  I’ll adjust as needed in the next few weeks.

Cycles Trying: This is #5 charting.  Before that we “tried” for two previous cycles but I was so off on my O date (thinking I was “normal” when I am not), that we didn’t come close to timing right.

BFP Plan (BD timing, supplements, etc.): Weeeeelllll…..We are everyday BDers from really the first sight of fertile CM or darkening OPKs.  Out of the 4 cycles we’ve been really on track ttc, I’ve gotten pregnant twice, but both ended in chemical pregnancies. I’m sad. And confused. And worried. *sigh* I’m calling for an appointment on Tuesday just to talk things over and see what my options are.

Despite all that, since I’ve gotten the BFPs 50% of the time, I supposed we’re doing SOMETHING right on the “conception” front.  I’m taking B6, Prenatals, EPO, FertileCM, and PreSeed.  I also used Progesterone cream cycle 3 and 4 and my LP was a bit longer.

    and for fun –

What are you going to do to ENJOY this month aside from TTC? Continue working out and eating right.  Try to get some projects done around the house.  Be the best mentor teacher I can be to my student teacher.  Get outside when the weather is great.  Breathe deeply.  Be present and try not to live completely for the idea of a future baby. <3

Hi all, well I just had my first TTC related meltdown yesterday 🙁  I didn’t realise quite how hard I’d find it.  I’m a scientist and am absolutely loving charting, doing opks and generally understanding what’s going on with my body, but when we time everything perfectly and it doesn’t happen it’s gutting (even though I know it’s still only a small % chance of getting a bfp even when you do time things perfectly). I’m only on my 3rd month off bc and 2nd month properly trying, but I’m 33 and just have this sense that it’s not going to be easy/possible for us (I’ve forgotten to take my bc pills in the past and never had an oops, thought I was lucky at the time …).

I guess what makes it harder is that my 2 best friends and my sister-in-law just have to look at their husbands and they get pregnant.  9 children between them, all concieved first month of trying, and one of them told me on Saturday that she’s expecting another, again first month of trying and her due date is the day before my birthday.  She thought she was being all cute telling me she’d tried hard for my birthday, but it just really hit home because I was devistated not to get pregnant last month as it was my last chance of having a baby before I turned 34.  I’d like to have 2 children, never wanted to be an ‘older mum’ and wanted a decent gap between pregnancies, but I didn’t meet my dh until I was 30.

Hello Everyone! Long time reader, first time poster! Any Support you could give would be very appreciated!

We got married in October and I stopped my BCP in Late August.  After my Withdrawl bleed I have had no period at all!  My doctor says that it is completly normal to not have a period for a 6 months or possibly longer.  He did give me some papers to get some blood work to check hormones and for an ultrasound whenever I feel like I want to look into my post pill amenorrhea.  I will have the blood work done in early February when I have a day off of work.  I was on BCP for almost 15 years.  I am 32 and DH is 33 and we would really like to get this baby making show on the road!.

    Current Cycle Day/DPO: CD122 (Yes 122!)

Ovulation Date: Not Sure (using OPK to detect LH but no confirmed O as of yet)  I am having sharp pains on my left side today so hopefully something is going on.

POAS Date/Usual Cycle Length: No “real” period since stopping BCP.  I will POAS (internet cheapies) every fews weeks to make sure that I am not pregnant since I have no idea if I ovulate.

    Cycles Trying: 2

BFP Plan (BD timing, supplements, etc.): Drinking Raspberry leaf tea 3 times daily, taking Vitex and B6+B12 daily, prenantal vitamins.

    Link to Chart, if any

No Chart- I would temp but I sleep with a mouth piece so it would be incorrect.

What are you going to do to ENJOY this month aside from TTC?

Shopping and having a night away with DH.  I am also going to start Yoga.

@RainbowHope:  It’s much harder than I thought, too – and like you we haven’t been trying very long either (2nd cycle). Last month I kinda knew it wasn’t going to be our month, but this month I’ve become a lot more invested…which makes for potential tears if AF shows up.

As for now, I’ve been taking OPKs (internet cheapies) but without any darkening lines as yet – although according to my app I’m not due to O for another three days (FF has over a week of potential O-days for me!). This has been a bit on the sly as Fiance thinks we are just ‘seeing what happens’, lol. Today I panicked about having hostile CM, went down to Boots and spunked silly money on a fertility gel thing – this TTC business has made me crazy already. Honestly, I’m usually super-chilled but have become hell-bent on success in this department!

@missstarling:  I’ve been considering going to the doctor. but I’m trying to take it as a grain of salt. Isn’t it like 85% couples fall pregnant within a year? So, I’m trying to convonce myself that at 6 months there is no need to worry myself any more than neccessary. It’s hard though, I was the same. I expected about 3, number four was the hardest cycle to cope with when AF arrived because I was so damn optimistic! we’ll stick together and be fine, I think the fact that fi has started asking why it hasn’t happened is also playing on my mind because he was initially so casual and relaxed about the whole thing.

i also have a question, I had some cramping yesterday, not painful but enough that I could feel it…I’m thinking o pain. I’ve been really slack and not used OPKs yet because I keep forgetting. After those pains I tested this morning and it was negative. No darker than usual, is it possible my levels went down so quickly? I thought the next morning I would at least have a dark line even if not a positive But it was really faint. Any ideas? I’m kind of hoping it wasn’t I because we didn’t bd the day before :/

    Eta: yesterday was cd13

@AlmostMrsShield:  I am doing the same thing…trying to stay calm.  Apparently its like a 20% chance of happening each month.  I am a shift worker so Im pretty sure that brings down that percentage again.  I started tempting this month and I also got that pre-seed stuff.  Reading on the reviews on amazon gave me some hope and made me feel better.  Your right tho… month 4 was the hardest.  I was really upset.  Its always dissapointing but I was pretty well devestated sunday night.  My husband has been pretty good this month, trying to reassure me, hes asking question now like “whats the best baby making position anyway?” lol. Your right tho we can stick together and keep each other from panicing.  It will happen its just a matter of time.

I am not sure about the cramping, i usually get this weird feeling on one side or the other when I am ovulating.  But I dont’ think the opks turn neg that fast but I have only used them one month so I am no expert.

@whybee:  Lol, yep it’s driving me crazy too, but I think it helps a bit to know I’m doing everything I can to increase our chances.  This month I used preseed a couple of times for the first time and have also been taking Asda Chesty Cough Syrup to thin my CM (contains guaifenesin as its only active ingredient).  Definitely seen a difference.  Dh and I are both on pre-conception vitamins and I’ve broken the news that when we go away on a weekend break with friends next month the hot tub might not be a good idea.

Just got a definite +ve opk today so from previous 2 months experience I’m expecting O date to be today (temperature already gone up a bit, mine tends to rise over a few days rather than spike immediately).  Will prob jump on my dh tonight and tomorrow night to make sure we’ve covered all our bases, but I’m almost into the 2ww.

    Current Cycle Day/DPO: CD2

Ovulation Date: Only my second cycle trying, I’m guessing between the 2nd and the 5th

POAS Date/Usual Cycle Length: POAS on February 14th/Cycle length is around 26 days

Cycles Trying: We are in our second cycle trying – I think we were late starting out in our first cycle though.

BFP Plan (BD timing, supplements, etc.): BD every day during fertile window, and EOD after AF leading up to that, taking prenatals, OPK’s

What are you going to do to ENJOY this month aside from  TTC?

My birthday falls on the 1st, so my girlfriends are taking me out for a nice dinner and then the next night my husband and I will do something to celebrate – looking forward to it!
