LilliV :  I saw it on the DM (for shame but these are dark times anyway). No gatherings larger than ten people but does that mean friends can meet up to walk together?

What kind of constituents do you expect when education has never been valued in the US? *shrugs shoulders*

It works out very well for the uber rich to keep the majority of the American population uneducated and misinformed.

Im not American but obviously he is still in the media a fair bit. I’m at  the point that I don’t really even register him in headlines anymore. There is no shockvalue anymore.

butfirstchampagne :  I was also feeling pretty certain he’d get reelected in Nov. I still think he might, but anyone who is certain of anything right now is kidding themselves.

I just hope the democrats don’t fuck this up. They need to get away from the woke PC agenda because that is not the way to appeal to swing voters.

I’m in a state where my Governor is working closely with a few other governors to slowly start opening the local economy back up at an appropriate time with health officials’ advice. The states have to do everything themselves and figure out everything on their own because the daily briefings with the president are completely fruitless and devoid of information (according to them)…let alone resources. The discrepancies between the states have led to a lot of people thinking this whole thing is fear-mongering or a hoax. That must be so easy to believe when you aren’t living down the street from a hospital with hundreds of COVID-19 patients.

claroquesi :  I agree with you 100% and I think some of those people so badly want to be right about electing Trump that no matter what he does, it’s perfect to them. Because they don’t want to admit that they elected someone who is base, crude, and utterly unqualified to be President because their white privilege and power was being threatened.

I cannot for the life of me understand these protestors – do they have no care or compassion for anyone other than themselves?

EllyAnne :  I’m in Australia but heading back to Ireland in 10 days once lockdown is over (I’m a nurse so am allowed to travel if I’ve a work contract, not breaking any rules I promise!).

My family is in France so I’ve been keeping up with French news and they’re being extremely cautious with deconfining the population. I cannot understand for the life of me why Americans think they are immune to everything!

Although I have to say, I can’t wait to see how the US and Trump cope with it all.

I’m not a Christian, so I’m not sure if this means much coming from me. But it’s REALLY refreshing to see someone who identifies as Christian call out Trump’s nonsense like this. Over the last four years, I’ve seen everything from “God has chosen to do his perfect work through an imperfect man and who are we to question that?” to “He found Christ on the campaign trail and so his actions prior to that don’t matter” to justify evangelical support for a lecherous, adulterous, dishonest, corrupt human being. It’s really nice to see your post and to know this isn’t as accepted as I feared. Thank you for that. I hope there are more people in your community who think like you do and who will exercise their political power in November.

Much love .

xiexie :  Christian here, and 100% NOT voting for Trump in November. Any religion that espouses the suffering of others to advance a person, group, or agenda built on greed, prejudice, and intolerance is no religion I want to support. There are more of us out here than people might think, although there is definitely an influential, loud-mouthed faction that is making it very difficult for our quickly-dwindling voice to be heard and believed.

Nothing is close where I am other then schools. I’m in a very red state. It’s pretty much business as usual otherwise, every time we drive into town everything is packed, idk even where these people are coming from because we live in small town and usually it does not seem that busy prior to this.

He is absolutely an idiot.  Im from new Zealand but I read yesterday he was encouraging people to riot in some states as their lockdown rules were too strong. Just disgusting.  He is a president!! A man child.

My parents are Christians and love him strangely. He has done many non Christian things.
