Fiance and I were sitting in the dining room, eating lunch. The front door is literally 8 feet away from us. We had been waiting all day for the Fedex delivery truck for my ring order. Well, I happen to look out the window and I see the Fedex truck driving away!! I ran outside, trying to chase it, but it was gone. The damn driver just left a note on the door, saying he attempted delivery, but he didn’t even knock!!!
I am so mad. I called Fedex twice to yell at them and apparently the idiot driver is coming back at 7pm. He’s going to get it when he comes back.

That’s the wierdest thing, but it’s totally happened to me before too. Frusteratinggggg….
I ended up picking up my stone from the fedex office 40 miles away just to avoid playing that dumb game with the driver in my town. When I got in the office and asked them about my package they were like “we don’t have it yet” and I said “uh, yes you do. I’ve been stalking the online tracking”
What do ya know, the first place he looks, they have the package. That crap gets old.

@mspartridge: I hate FedEx as well! They are generally idiots. At our apartment complex, UPS always delivers packages to the leasing office, like they are supposed to, where they are stored in a locked room until we come pick them up. The FedEx guy always leaves them in the hallway outside our front door. Thanks, FedEx guy; I’m so glad you made things convenient for me by leaving hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise lying unattended in the hallway of our building for hours or days at a time!

Has happened here as well, but it was jeans from Bloomingdales. No biggie, but so annoying.

They left our invitations in a cardboard box outside IN THE RAIN when they delivered them! No plastic bad around it, not underneath any sort of covering, NOTHING! I would have had a heart attack had any of our invitations gotten ruined. LUCKILY my dad happened to step outside and saw them.

Oh man, sorry that does suck, but chewing your local driver out, as good as it may feel, probably wont help future deliveries. I’d try to play nice with people who bring you goodies, as fustrating as they are. I do a ton of online order and havent had a problem, but the last thing I need is for them to remember me in a poor light and start stomping on my packages. Hope you get your ring soon!

Fedex is horrible. I have a friend that sorts the packages at the warehouse and he said the workers there only mishandle packages that say fragile. Everything else they sort normally. And then there are the videos of the workers throwing fragile packages in peoples lawns then taking off.

We have problems with our fedex people all the time. It gets really old. I usually request to pick up all my deliveries at the post office just to avoid it.

Fedex guy came back 2 hours later at 3pm and delivered my ring. I let fiance answer the door so I wouldn’t chew the guy out.
(BTW, the office had said he’d be back at 7, so if we had gone out like I suggested, we would have missed him again.)

Omg the same thing happened to me not even a month ago!! I was so annoyed! The Fedex guy had missed me twice before because I was out of town and I made sure to have my mom home for the next day he was coming so she could pick up the package cause I had work. Mind you, if I had missed him the third time, the note said that I would have to drive to the Fedex place to pick it up, which was over an HOUR from where I lived. Why I’d have to go to one so far away when there is one not far from me is beyond me.
I get a call from my mom around 11 in the morning telling me she just opened the front door and saw the ticket from the Fedex guy! I was floored cause she was home the whole morning and she said the doorbell did not ring! I immediately called them from work and told them that this was ridiculous and he better come back with that package as my mom was home purposely for this and I am not driving over an hour after work to go pick the package up. He ended up coming back hours later.
They are just terrible.
