Josh1 :  hello! I remember your first postand wanted to leave a comment. I might be a little sensitive since I was pretty sensitive while looking for my own diamond, but I do see a lot of inclusions that might be visible to the eye once you receive the actual stone. I do see the scratch youre referring to, but I also see a few more scratching on the surface and I feel like that would drive me crazy if I were staring at my ring. It is totally up to you and your SO, but that is just my personal take on it!

Josh1 :  I was the same way. To be honest at first I just looked at the carat size and I went to different jewlery shops and one place ( the place I got my diamond) gave me so much information. You really need to see the stone with your own eyes, but since youre shopping online its a bit different because I was looking at stones that were around the VS2 and up range and honestly even though in picture and zoom you might not be able to see the inclusions which is what happened with me, but once I went in person and saw the stone I could see the inclusions even without a magnifying glass. It also depends on lighting whether youre in doors or outdoors. Also its much more noticable when the inclusions or scratches are on the face of the stone which this one seems to be. Even with my stone right now I thought it was super clean since it is a VVS2, but after staring at my ring I see something with my eye and it bugs me like crazy. I love my ring, but I see it and I keep staring at it. Maybe find a stone where the inclusions are not so much on the face but in the sides that can be covered by prongs.

Josh1 :  Go with the 2nd one, 100%.  The first looks a little messy internally and will not sparkle as nicely. 🙂

We went with James Allen as well. I picked the setting but my husband surprised me with the diamond.

We got a lot of help from their customer service. They went into details about the diamonds we were looking at and also came up with different choices after asking what was important for our diamond. My husband ended up picking out what they recommended and my diamond is gorgeous. So I recommend switching on the chat and let then help you find a good diamond.

I also vote for the second one. I see that scratch/crack on the table of the first stone as it’s just no bueno.
