I’m in Vermont at Killington Mountain for the Spartan Beast Race (a crazy 13 mile obstacle race) that my Fiance is running today. There is a wedding today at 4:30.
If you look in the background you will see smoke and under that bridge is a bunch of crazy people climbing/swinging from ropes. The music and announcers are so loud I can hear them in my hotel room. Thankfully they are rerouting the bridge obstacle in time for the wedding but they will still have all the other craziness going on behind them.

OMG my SO did one of those a few months ago. I would be pissed at my venue for not informing me of this local event if I were doing an outside ceremony.
But the Spartan Race is awesome. Just not for a wedding. 🙁

They better have given them a heck of a good deal. I hope the bride is easy going because I would freak out.

Perhaps they knew about it and are involved somehow?

I get the feeling that they aren’t doing the race, racers are pretty active on the Spartan page on FB and no one mentioned being a part of the wedding. Also knowing Spartan Race, if they were involved they would have used it as PR. I’m sure they were warned but still kind of ruins the moment when you hear “aroo! aroo! aroo!” and loud party music over the loudspeakers while you are reciting your vows.
Spartan Race is a blast. I did the Spartan Sprint (4 miles) last month but I not going to attempt the Beast (13 miles) anytime soon with my newly discovered herniated disc.lol
