@redbootz:  If you aren’t confident that the seamstress listened then yes, I think you should go back. You are paying for her service so, in my opinion, you should get the fit you’d like. Just go into the appointment humbly and with a smile on your face. It will be fine. Best of all, you’ll feel better and the shop will know they are going to get a positive customer review from you! Win-win girly!

100% it is okay for you to go and feel sure.  I had a similar issue with the seamstress not listening, and when I went to pick up the dress, the alterations manager helped me and it was so much better. Trust your gut; if it turns out the dress is perfect, at least you won’t be worried anymore!  One less thing to stress about!

You’re totally right for doing that! Don’t settle if you’re not happy with the service they’re giving you, which doesn’t sound very good. Be polite obviously but otherwise a good business should have no problem making customers happy.

Absolutely!!! You need to feel perfect in your dress… sounds like you have a lazy seamstress.

@redbootz:  Don’t feel bad at all! It is their JOB to help you. If you want to try on your dress everyday before the wedding you should be allowed to as long as you made an appointment time. (Although that’d obviously be obsessive lol)

Perhaps this particular seamstress is not very confident doing the alteration you asked so she just tried to talk you out of it.  I’d take it to the other seamstress for sure.

@redbootz:  If you can get her to go into the shop, that would be ideal! My fingers are crossed for you! I’m glad the manager agreed with you, and that you feel better now 🙂
