(Closed) Feel dumb for asking… but how do you address an envelope?

Usually it’s either;

Mr. and Mrs. John Smith

or

Mr. and Mrs. Smith

or

John and Jane Smith

or 

John Smith and Jane Johnson if the last names are different.

@msgraphics: It really depends on the formality that you want to use. The most formal would be “Mr. & Mrs. John Smith” and the least would be “John & Jane Smith”

For ours we went the formal route and did “Mr. & Mrs. John Smith”

For my Save-The-Date Cards I went informal since they were going to so few people. I think we decided on the informal wording for our invites too since we only have one envelope.
