Oh! Another Troll! Yay! !

I feel your pain I’m scared to even try them on….well won’t be now because I’m pregnant but..damnit I wanted a big poofy dress even though I’m short.

Years ago I bought a beautiful a line strapless. But..I was a size 0 and I’ve gained 30 pounds in the last 2 years..grr..which on our size is A LOT!   I haven’t been this big even fill term pregnant before. I was freaking out about dresses.

But you know what? You will find one. Honestly I think #2 looked awesome on you!

I really like both #1 and #2! I agree with PPs who said that #3 you didn’t look as happy in, so that might be why I gravitate towards the first two. I think they really flatter your shape! Could you ask the bridal consultant to pin the dress under so you can see it without all the extra length?

Megbee617:  well, one, you have already tried these dresses on so if you find either dress 1 or 2 online in your size or a size or two bigger, you know you can buy it because you already know it looks great. I bought from preownedweddingdresses.com. I actually found a dress on there I like, then went into a store and tried it on to be sure, then went back to the website and bought it. (Some bees may rightfully frown on this practice, but I made sure not to waste too much of the salesperson’s time since I knew I wouldn’t actually be purchasing there.) Other good pre-owned sites are oncewed and Tradesy. Tradesy has good guarantees for buying online, but the other sites I think have a bigger selection. You can narrow down your searches on those sites by location to in case you want to contact the seller to see the dress in person first. There wasn’t much in my area, but i found a dress on preownedweddingdresses that was in a city where I had family who were willing to go see it on my behalf and make sure it was in good condition.

One tip for buying online is to have the seller send you lots of pictures beyond what they have shown on the listing. Like the underside of the hem (to see if the dress has been cleaned), the original sales receipt (to make sure the dress is legit), etc.

Good luck!

Megbee617:  I think the first one looks amazing on you. I also recommend taking a look on eBay for preowned dresses or dresses that are brand new that need to be sold at a lower price for one reason or another

Megbee617:  Haha you are so silly. You look beautiful and you do look like a bride!

My personal opinion – dress number 1. Super romantic.

Second best is dress number 2. Classy and elegant.

1 The correct term is “Pocket Venus” not Troll.

2. Dress #2 is looks great.

3. There are several resale bridal boutiques near me. There should be some near you as well. Prices tended to be about 1/2 to 2/3 of the new retail price. Some of the stores dropped the price 50% after 3 months. About 1/4 of the dresses I tried on were brand new.

First of all, you look stunning in all of them! You’re a beautiful woman and shouldn’t call yourself a troll (even though I lol’ed at the title)!! Second of all, may I suggest a ballgown? It’s nearly impossible to feel anything less than a beautiful princess when you are wearing a huge poofy dress! Any way you decide to go, you’ll look amazing!

Megbee617:  Personally I think if you were smiling, you’d look the best in #3, but #2 is a really good choice as well.

I think you look gorgeous in 1 and 2, but I also understand still feeling gross no matter what people say. Maybe if you find a dress that accentuated your features and hid whatever you are most worried about? As a PP put up, she is the same height and a size bigger, yet you wouldn’t even notice sinze the ballgown brings out her chest, makes her waist appear super small, and hides all the wobbly bits most women have on their bellies and legs.

I think if you want to feel most comfortable and happy with a dress choice, a figure hugging one like the ones you tried on will not do that for you personally. even though we all think you look great, as you said you feel like a “troll” and no one should ever feel like that on their big day.

Honestly look into a ball gown, just try a couple on, and keep us updated. You deserve to feel as beautiful as we all can see you are 🙂

You look very happy in dress #1 which I think brings out your assets the best.  Also the sash that LadyPeacock added is the perfect touch.  🙂
