I think it may be because you live in NYC.  I’m in the Midwest so I don’t know firsthand, but just hearing how expensive rent for a STUDIO apartment is to me is just crazy.  If you are needing to work so much just to stay ahead of bills, maybe it is time to move to a more affordable area.  I mean it definitely could be winter blues, but this sounds to me like it is more than that.  You mention McDonald’s a couple times per week, maybe it’s time to focus more on your health.  Instead of going through a drive thru, make salads at home that you can take on the run.  That kind of stuff.  I hope you feel better soon!

ljm308:  I think she was saying that she works at McDonald’s 2 nights per week, though she may be eating there too if she’s working.

bambi36:  I agree though, that maybe you need a change of scenery. Even with all the hustle and bustle, I know how lonely and isolating it can be living in a big city, especially when you don’t have much money to get out and do things. Is there something keeping you in NYC? Why don’t you move closer to your boyfriend?

NYC is so expensive!!! Ugh I live in the suburbs in NJ and I constantly wonder where all of our money goes.  But you need to start with your own wellbeing,  you can’t be an awesome friend, girlfriend, or mommy without being happy where you are today.  It sounds like you lost an awesome job and now you feel like your in a rut doing something you don’t enjoy, but switch it to the positive and see how much you’ve accomplished,  you say your able to start saving now which is amazing.  You sound like you have an amazing head on your shoulders and were able to overcome a tough spot and your trying to make the most out of what you have now which is admirable.  I encourage you to find passions and do things without friends that you enjoy,  you will meet new friends that way that have similar likes in life.  If you want to do the muse paintings go for it even if your alone, you can always open up and say hi and make a friend while your out.   My “friends” used to bail on me all the time and then finally I got fed up and said something,  it was clear to me that person did not really care about being my friend but just filling a time void that she had.  I now have a whole set of new friends which I absolutely adore.  I encourage you to turn to new things to lift your spirits,  meet new people, enjoy life for what it is, and thank your awesome boyfriend for being the shoulder to turn to.

bambi36:  Hello, New Bee here for a few days now…I read your post, seems like you may be getting depressed and obviously are getting a little unhappy.
Maybe you need to re-evalutate yourself and your goals and your life. Maybe some change?

I get like this too sometimes when things are the same all the time, constant routine, same ol same crap, same job, same environment, same people with the same energy no real motivation or inspiration…Find yourself and do something for you, meet new people take a hike or just try to remember what makes you happy? hobbies? a particular thing ya kno? maybe it will open you up again and make you aspire and stay hungry, sometimes when we feel like this, we need alittle pick me up, or advice…I felt out of place last week and in my recent post I talk about how I feel like Im going crazy cause of the consistancy of how my life is going when I know I can do so much more ya know? kinda like stuck…I hate that feeling.

bambi36:  To a fellow NYC Bee, sometimes I feel as though the city takes its toll. I feel the same way at time. We go through up’s and down’s here. PM me iff you want to talk!
