I think that if you want to lose 10 pounds, do it. You certainly don’t need to, but it sounds like you want to. Either way, the decision should not be based on your dress or fittings, it should be because you want to and it should be done in a healthy way πŸ™‚

To me it doesn’t look like you need to lose any more weight. But if it would make you feel better to lose 10 lbs, I say keep trying.

You look amazing!!! I don’t think you need to lose any! BUT, it’s all about how YOU feel. And if you feel like you need to lose 10 more, then do it.

I think you look great right now!  That being said, I will say that I lost about 10 pounds right before my wedding… just from stress mostly, I think.  My dress had to be realtered just a few days before my wedding but it all worked out just fine so if you do end up losing more weight, your dress can be fitted again.

You look fab and your dress is gorgeous! Drop the last ten lbs (I think we ALL have that last 5-10 lbs we want to lose!!!) that are bugging you and have the dress re-fitted. It’s not a big deal and you’ll feel happier and more confident. Believe it or not my seamstress actually suggested I GAIN weight so I would ‘fill out the dress a little nicer’. Sometimes ppl speak without thinking, and don’t know the whole story behind our body image baggage. Do what makes you happy girl! Congrats on that weight loss it’s a huge accomplishment πŸ™‚

Its funny you should say this because I am in the EXACT same position.  I am a CPT and a runner…I lost 80+ lbs a few years ago and packed on about 10-12 over the winter because I did not run and my gym time dropped off big time.  When I bought my gown I purchased a size 10 because I am a weight lifter and am wider through my bust area (not to be confused with boobs mind you…I have small cup sizes, but my chest measurement is much bigger than my hips.

Well, we started alterations about 6 weeks ago, I’ve had 2 fittings already, and I will have 2 more most likely.  When I was there the last time the salon owner asked why the dress was loser around my hips, and I informed her its been nice outside so I’m running again…Well she flat out told me that I could not lose more between now and the wedding. I was like WHAT?! lol  yeah….i’m not soprry to say she is not my mom and I don’t care if I have to go back three more times (its 50 minute drive one way) I will lose the last 5-6 and be the tru size 6 I was (I’m between 6-8 still currently)

I also am a larger framed girl, I’m 5’9 and I like being 145-150ish and like I said I’m 154-158ish right now.

IMO…dont listen to that, lose what you want/can and if it means another fitting o well πŸ˜‰ it will be worth it!

I think you are absolutely beautiful just the way you are and I’m not sure that we will be able to SEE 10 pounds as much as you think we are. I may be mistaken, but I think you should focus on being healthy and fabulous as you are. If you lose weight, you lose weigh, but don’t stress!

@erincredible:  You look amazing in that dress!!!  If you really WANT to lose weight, just realter it afterwards, but please do not think that you NEED to.  You look beautiful, healthy, and fit just the way you are.
