sorry, but i like the ball gown better. i like the elegant dreamy simplicity of it, and i think the a-line is too busy and distracting, but get what makes u feel the most beautiful.

I actually think you look much slimmer in the a-line. And if it’s more comfortable, that’s a great bonus!!
I prefer the detailing/fabric of the ballgown but I think the A line dress is very flattering and beautiful on you. I want to combine the two!
I love you in dress #2! It’s much more figure flattering! I’m also not a fan of ball gowns either though lol – II find that unless you’re tall and slender, they don’t do much for anyone.
Chose the one YOU like though – and make sure to factor in comfort! Nothing is worse than being uncomfortable! If 10 minutes in dress one scratched up your arms, imagine what will happen after 6+ hours…
Good luck!
WHAT!
There is NO WAY that second dress looks old or matronly or like ANYTHING a “50 year old would wear”!
I like the first dress better, but the second one looks WAY better on you!
The ballgown is stunning it is a bit too full though and almost overwhelms you. The ballgwon is a nicer dress of the two of them. The fit and flare is a great shape for you. Howerver the style is just ok. Keep looking the right combination of the two will come.
My two cents:
They are both VERY flattering, and you look beautiful in both!!
The ball gown DOES appear to give you a SLIGHTLY more defined waist, but all in all, I think they are equally flattering!
I would go with the one that best gels with the way you envision your wedding – the ballgown is very romantic, while the 2nd one is more sophisticated.
Me, I THOUGHT I wanted a simple lace tea-length dress, and wound up loving an ethereal silk organza ballgown!! So, Good luck!!
The a-line is amazingly flattering! I like the ball gown too, but it is a much more “pretty pretty princess” dress, which is maybe why your mom thinks the a-line looks “older”. I think the a-line is amazing on you, and flatters your curves wonderfully. You do NOT look fat AT ALL! Bottom line, go with your heart! That confidence will come across on your wedding day!
Both are beautiful, but the second dress is much more figure-flattering. 🙂
I personally prefer #1, but #2 does NOT make you look fat! You look fabulous in both:)
As so many previous posters have said, both dresses are beautiful, but I agree with many of them that the A-line is more flattering on you. Just a tip on the beaded ballgown – if you would be happy with it if it didn’t scratch, look into having the beading removed from the areas where it’s rubbing you. Remember – it’s not your mom’s dress or her day, it’s YOURS!
girl! Your look soooo good in dress #2! Love it!
You look great in both, but I prefer #2 as it shows off more of your figure!
