New dress is 100% more flattering than the ball gown.

I feel like #1 is WOW but I love bling and the top is so pretty! BUT the second fits your body MUCH better. I think number 2 is a little boring and very common it suits your shape well number 1 is very stunning but I’m not sure I love the ball gown part. It is your dress and YOUR day choose the one YOU love. and if you and your mom can’t agree maybe there is a dress with a perfect in between of both dresses

Sorry, I agree with your mom. The new dress is very Tony Bowls.

Girl your bootay is rockin’ that fitted dress! Doesn’t look old at all. It sounds like your mom wants you to be her princess and not a sexy bride. That’s her issue, not yours. Get the dress that makes you feel the most beautiful.

I think you look gorgeous in both dresses. Go with the one you love best. Your Mum has no clue!

You look fab in the second dress. It accentuates your curves so beautifully! The first gown does not do anything for your figure..

What the what? A-lines are for 50-year-olds now? What does that even mean? That unless you wear a ballgown that shows off your shoulders, boobs, back, waist and hips simultaneously you belong in a convent? That you have to have poof and bling and a dress that looks like it belongs in a Disney movie to be sufficienty bridal? Gypsy weddings for everyone!

Add me to the crowd supporting #2. Don’t get me wrong, #1 is gorgeous and shows off your waist beautifully, but it seems like the dress is wearing you instead of the other way round. Dress #2 makes you look tall and slim and sexy. If that means you look 50, then it’s a damn smoking hot 50 – maybe Michelle Pfeiffer or Nigella Lawson!

ETA: Just a thought, if your mother’s opinion matters that much, maybe you could look for dresses with the same silhouette as #2, but different styling. It’s possible that it’s not necessarily the shape of the dress that is causing her to react that way, but the particular way it drapes around you. Maybe she’s so convinced herself that #1 is what she wants you to wear and is so disappointed by #2 in comparison to her dream, that she has lost all ablity to look at it objectively. So maybe if you put on a different version of the same thing, she’ll be able to see it with fresher eyes.

I love the style of Dress 2, however I dunno how much of a fan I am of the beading across the chest area. I love how it flatters your figure and maybe thats the style of dress but I dunno if I like the actual dress. I really don’t like ball gowns! I think its way too poofy and I don’t really like tule. If you are going to go ball gown, maybe a drop waist would be a better fit and would show off your figure more! Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and beautiful. At the end of the day, every mom just wants their daughter to be happy, you still have lots of time to find the gown but I do understand wanting to find it :).

    Best wishes on the search!

Id pick the new one without a doubt. The longer corset top looks perfect on you!

Only thing id do is to add a fuller crinoline under it to poof it out a bit more ๐Ÿ™‚
