I had a missed miscarriage and then a DC on the 22nd of August. I thought my period happened a week after the DC because it stopped for 2 days, but it wasn’t because my hcg levels are VERY SLOWLY dropping 42 days later and still no period.
Did anyone go through this? I just feel alone. I’ve seen so many pregnant women around the shopping centre and I feel deep sorrow, then I start crying.

I dont know very much about the D&C procedure or how quickly things are supposed to return to normal, but perhaps you can give your OB a call to ask them what they think. From what I’ve read here I think more people wait a cycle or two and then are given the go ahead to TTC again. I dont know how long you were trying before you got pregnant but I guess the fact that you were able to get pregnant itself is a positive thing and hopefully once you start trying again you’ll be back to being pregnant within no time

@knight.keira: I’m so sorry for your loss and that you have to go through this. I also had a missed m/c in the spring, but miscarried naturally. My HCG levels dropped pretty slowly too (so much annoying blood work), but I think shortly after they bottomed out I got my first period. As frustrating as it is, its normal to have an extra long wait for your first period, mine was around 6 weeks I think. Hang in there and fingers crossed it will come soon, but also keep close tabs on your HCG levels. If things are taking way too long and your HCG levels are too high, it could mean you’ve retained some tissues and you could risk infection.
Thoughts are with you and I hope your body gets back into the swing of things soon.

@knight.keira – I’m so sorry for your loss and hope that you are doing OK. You are definitely not alone. There is a support thread here for those who have suffered miscarriages: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/ttc-after-miscarriage-1
I had a natural miscarriage, my HCG levels went to 0 within 6 days, but it still took me almost 6 weeks to get a period again. The best thing you can do is keep your doctor in the loop about your progress esp. if your HCG is not dropping.
Good luck to you : )
