- Wedding: October 2014
Hi Bees,
I’ve been following this site since I slowly started planning my wedding early last year. I’m getting married on 4 October 2014.
I’m a bride in staying and working in a foreign country planning a wedding to take place in my home country South Africa and it has been extremely difficult trying to plan from so far.
I just wanted to share with you the latest purchases I have made (in South Africa, obviously) for my decor since it is one of the top priority items for me.
The intention is to have the votive candles on all tables (Guests tables, Main Table as well as the Cake Table) I bought 108 of them in total. I love the effect of candles and the fact that they are already in containers made me love them more. Below is a close picture of the votives.
I have also bought the 24 floating candles for the church decoration. I’m planning to use cylinder vases with some nice purple flower submerged in water and topped with a floating candle. The plan is to put these down on the aisle. I hope this happens, I love the effect it gives to a plain church. I wish we had a dollar tree stor in South Africa. I’m really struggling to find the cylinder vases!!
For the main table I wanted a wow factor and nothing plain. So I bought the below tall silver candleholders for the far ends of the table and the round ones for the middle part of the table. I’m going to put pillar candles on the tall candle holders. Our half moon table is big enough and 4 candle settings will look very good with the floral arrangement in between.
OMG please excuse the dust on there.
I know this might not be helpful to most since we are continents apart but I just needed to brag and feel proud of myself. This site has helped me a lot in planning my wedding though it is international. I mean budget, decor, dress, dealing with crazy family members, the list goes on and on!!
Thank you so much bees!!
