@howtobeawife:  Yeah, I’m just saying that I can understand sentimentality as a reason in a way I can’t understand jealousy. I guess I can be prone to the former, but noe the latter!

I understand how difficult that is. It must feel terrible, but if it is the ring You want and your hubby wants to buy for you.. then that is all that matters.

My fiance bought me an engagement ring where the center stone is bigger than his sister’s rings. We did something that was affordable to us and made both of us happy, so no one else’s opinions need to come into play. I got looks from them at first, but now they don’t care and don’t judge!

And it’s inappropriate for your family to try and make YOU feel awkward! They should just be happy for you!

@howtobeawife:  Eh people will be judgemental about anything. Distract yourself from them and their silly comments by looking at your lovely ring!

it’s a beautiful ring. Don’t let others opinion bother you, including your own family members. Kiss

I got few negative comments that I have changed my mind on my e-ring, and upgraded to a better diamond and setting.

My family members and few things think I’m nut to spend so much money on my wedding bands and e-ring.  But hey, that two rings will be on your finger forever, of course you deserved to get the one you truly like.

As long as your Fiance agreed and happy about it.  That’s all matters.

As someone who will no doubt also be judged for the latest upgrade by some (not to my face though I am sure!) I feel you on this. Your new ring is GORGEOUS and it looks awesome with your ering. Tell ’em when they pay your bills they get a say-so. LOL

@howtobeawife:

Your new band is gorgeous!

I can’t believe people could be so judgy over something that’s none of their business. It’s a totally private matter between you and your husband!

Why don’t you ask your DH for a third band — an anniversary band for example. That will really spin their heads! LOL

@howtobeawife:  to heck with them, unless you owe them money or you’re living off public assistance lol–to heck with what others say about how you spend your money! Enjoy your beautiful ring!

Kinda strange that anyone would care, really. If I got a new wedding band, I don’t think many people in my life would give a flying rat’s behind! So, they are probably just bored and need something to complain about. I think it looks very pretty!

Good for you for doing something for yourself that makes you happy! I had my engagement ring restyled and got a new diamond half eternity band a few months ago, and I love them! No one in real life noticed or cared unless I pointed them out.
