I invited a dozen friends (mostly football fans) over for watching the bowl games all day- a drop in whenever, leave whenever laid back affair. Four people have been over, but all of them left. One couple said they would try to stop by tonight, but I am currently all by myself. (FH is working all day and night.) This is probably just my own childhood issues (I was not popular), but just feeling a little unloved. Please give me some perspective so that I don’t wallow- thanks!

I know how you feel, I’ve always been treated the exact same way. I’ll have a party or get together and like no one comes, it’s a really shitty feeling. I always try and go when I’m invited somewhere, I don’t want to treat others the way I’ve been treated 🙂

It’s New Year’s Day. I can’t speak for anyone else, but all I want to do on NYD is stay at home and veg. The last thing I want to do is go out. Especially after the stress of the holidays and a night of ringing in the new year! I want to hang with my family, watch movies, and do nothing! If I were invited anywhere, I’d be very quick to turn down the invitation in favour of staying home all cozy and warm.

Agreed with BandItGirl – I have no desire to do anything at all today. We have just been sitting around watching TV and taking naps!

Agreed with above. I’m still in pjs. I prob wouldn’t go anywhere for anyone today.

Thanks ladies. The couple who was stopping by just left. It worked out great since they are getting married in the summer and are considering using our photographer. We had been trying to figure out a time for them to see our wedding pictures, so I showed them and it worked out well. FH said he’d call when he wasn’t busy at work, so I just tried him again and he was all “I’ll try to call you later.” I think that’s probably what’s making me a little sad. Thanks for the cheering up!
