about the budget! Ugh, it just hit me in a huge wave. I’m no good with money and I’m feeling really overwhelmed. We have made a budget, I’ve done the spreadsheets and all that crap but there are somethings we just cannot afford. I know I need to prioritize and scale back and all that crap, I just want to complain and vent and all that.
Ima go eat an entire box of Velveeta shells and cheee now….

Is your Fiance good with finances? Can he help you with this?

He’s better with finances than me BUT he thinks wedding stuff should be cheaper than it is. Like, photogrpahy should be $500 and food should be 1000$. So it’s kind of falling on me….
I drank some wine, I’m feeling better now (just ignoring it for the night)!

I totally feel you. So far though, I have been under budget on everything but my floral budget (I had no idea what to expect at the time so I was short $50) and then on my hair and make-up (I was off by $100). Where I saved us big time though, and I am not sure if this is something you would be a fan of but I found a BBQ restaurant in a small town next to us for $14.50 a person instead of the $30+ a person I have been quoted by all the caterers! They serve really good food and I can do a bbq buffet, or mexican food buffet and even an italian food buffet! That $14.50 covers everything from tea to plates! So, if your heart isn’t set on any caterer or lavish meal, maybe you can check out local restaurants to come in and cater. I know for me and Fiance, we don’t like crazy food (like chicken stuffed with goat cheese, spinach and mushrooms) so getting a restuarant to cater was more “us”. And saving the $2000+ doesn’t hurt either.

I’m sorry, I have nothing to say about the budget thing (except that I understand the stress) but I am DYING LAUGHING at “Ima go eat an entire box of Velveeta shells and cheese now.”
That is my favorite stress food too!

I just want to add that the shells and cheese (or Stouffers frozen mac and cheese) is my go-to stress food. Especially in times of financial distress. Good luck!
