i love my dress…but i honestly thought i’d end up with a dress that had sleeves. that proved to be really hard to find when i was searching.
now it seems all 2013 collections are beautifully romantic, flowy and with straps or sleeves!
my dress has been ordered and due to arrive in Feb…..is it too late???

@springwed8: Let me see your dress. You fell in love for a reason I’m sure it’s beautiful. How about adding a sleeve once you get it?

I saw your dress from a previous thread you started and it is gorgeous! If I were you, I would add on to the dress you already have.

That’s an easy dress to add some beautiful lace sleeves to, should take a seamstress no time at all. however, i kind of like it strapless.

It’s just beautiful! If you wanted lace straps would be beautiful as well, but I must say, it is beautiful as is! I’m feeling some jealousy!

thanks ladies, its always nice to have some reassurance.
if i were to add sleeves, i guess the store would have to contact the designer so that the lace matched? does that matter?

From what I understand you can just talk to the store & usually order matching lace. I’m thinking of doing the same thing. I think your dress is beautiful though & looks just gorgeous on you. If you don’t change a thing, it will be lovely, but it’s about what you want & sleaves could look great too!! You can also look into getting a shrug or something that is removeable and have it on for the ceremony, then take it off for the reception. That way if you dont’ like the look, you haven’t altered your already beautiful dress.

@Amayansong: thanks for the advice, i think i will call the store tomorrow and see what they recommend. i agree, something removable will be less drastic, i don’t want to ruin the dress!
