I’m not familiar with your dress. Would love to see a pic!

And yes, I went through the same thing with mine. Even though it was totally "the one" and I loved it. I bought my dress 2 years before our wedding. We had to postpone about 1.5 years due to a layoff so by the time it rolled around…I just wasn’t as excited about it anymore. And I almost bought another one. So I know how you are feeling!

What I did was change up my accessories and it brought back that original excitement for me.

Can you jazz it up with your accessories/jewelry/shoes?

Oh HOLD UP. I just looked through your past posts and found your dress.

It is seriously…TO DIE FOR. It’s beautiful!!! So glam, stylish, fashiony. It does not need any bells or whistles. That is a statement dress! I love it.

Don’t worry! I felt and still feel a little like just maybe I wanted a different dress. The only reason I still feel this way is because I just feel like I didn’t get to try on enough. Looking back at my pictures the day seemed so grand that I realized my dress didn’t need to be as “grand” as well. That day your going to be glowing. Your hair will be all neat and perfect and you face will have a constant smile on it. Your dress will litterally be the “icing on the cake”. With your jewelry, shoes and everything else, you will look grand.

If you usually go all Lady Gaga with outifts then I can almost be certain that if you toned down your wedding dress then people will more then likely LOVE what your wearing because it shows YOU. Not your out there style. Weddings are not about being out there. They are about the the love the couple feels for eachother. The most basic things will show that the most.

Good Luck and try not to fret so much! I havnt seen your dress but I’m sure its beautiful!!!! =D

Girl, I have MAJOR dress envy for yours! I love it!! I felt the same way..that people would be expecting something amazing from my dress and that it wouldn’t live up to expectations (I’m a fashion major).

Is there anyway you could look for a new one if you’re really dreading it? Is it in the budget? If you’re still feeling this way and you can afford it you should probably start looking. I know you’ve mentioned a couple times that you weren’t 100% in love with it.

Good luck! You’ll look gorgeous no matter what dress you’re in!

I LOVE your dress! I think many of us have second thoughts because we’re glued to the bee/other blogs/tv shows and are constantly looking at so many beautiful dresses that we get envious. I absolutely love my dress and I have the same thoughts too. You look gorgeous in your dress! I think it is definitely so stylish and just WOW. Don’t worry! You’ll look great!

I love your dress. I think its prob just a little anxiety. I have 5 weeks to go till my wedding, and I am actually very nervous about how I will feel when I go for my fitting. I haven’t seen it since I bought it in September and I really hope I love it because I have second guessed a lot!

Anyway, just thought I would also let u know that a friend of mine wore your dress at her wedding about a year ago, and she was a STUNNER. The dress looked wonderful and photographed beautifully.

With hair done, make-up done and jewelry, its all gonna come together beautifully. Don’t worry!!!

I haven’t seen the dress that you are talking about, but what made you get it in the first place? Why don’t you think back to how you felt in the dress when you first tried it on that made you think “this is the one!” Also, if you are usually a little funky in your dressing, are there accessories you can add to give it some pizzazz?

I haven’t gotten married yet, but my problem with some of my planning is that I find it hard to commit to some things because I want it to be absolutely perfect and what if I see something later on that I like better?  It took me forever to come up with a color scheme for my wedding because I saw a lot that I could be happy with, but nothing that seemed perfect for the occasion. I finally figured it out by deciding on a red and purple color scheme, red for my fiance and purple for me. Picking out one of our favorite colors made it perfect.

Maybe you are having regret because you see all the other gowns that people have chosen on here and you miss that feeling you had when you were trying on a dresses and the dress you actually chose. I am sure when you get all done up on your wedding day, your fiance will think you are absolutely beautiful and you will be happy with your choice.

@heatherrobyn: What are you planning to do with hair/makeup?

That dress has such a vintage movie star vibe. I can totally see it with red lips.

Oh my goodness, that dress is gorgeous! You will look amazing on your wedding day, I’m sure this is just jitters and a few months from now you will look back at your pictures and wonder what you were worrying about!

It is absolutely gorgeous and looks great on you! If you want to spice it up a little, add a sparkly belt or brooch. Either way you are totally going to rock it on your wedding day! Don’t get down!

PS–I just bought my dream dress, but even now when I look at a picture I wonder if it was the right one. We picked those dresses for a reason–bc they looked darn good on! Remember that and be confident that you chose right! 🙂

1) I think its mean for you to make us go look back in your posts to find it =P

2) I think it is very unique and different. With the accessories and you all done up, I think it will look great.
