I agree it would have been nice if your brother had picked you to be in the wedding. Does he have a lot of really close friends? Maybe they are planning on having a very small group of bridesmaids and groomsmen, or maybe he thinks you might not be interested since you are already married with kids. Perhaps you can offer to be an usher or to help with the wedding other ways to show your interest.

I didn’t pick my sister to be a Bridesmaid or Best Man for personal reasons. I told her straight up what it was and hurt her feeling but it is my bridal party so i pick. Anyways just ask him. There does not need to be an argument about it just be like, hey did you pick your Groomsmen yet? Or say i heard that i wont be a part of your wedding party what’s the deal? Did i do something  to make you mad? Who knows maybe he has other plans for you or maybe he just doesn’t feel close enough to you. So basically the only way you are going to get an answer is through him. There is nothing wrong with asking a simple question but in the end remember he owes you no explanation. Hope it all works out for you.
