Sorry this is happening.  I know it probably doesn’t make it better, but it sound like some of these people like drama…  If there’s one day in your life that should be drama free, it’s your wedding day.  Hopefully those who attend will take away some of the stress these other people have caused you!

The people that won’t be there don’t matter. 

The people that matter will be there.

 

Otherwise, you can consider changing the date to make sure they will come.

Reach out and express this to them if you want them there. Write a letter, email whatever and ask them what’s happening. So many time this stuff comes from a miscommunication or misunderstanding. Then no one in the family is willing to step up and lead the way to talk. I speak from family experience coming from a family that just does not communicate. Go for it, what do you have to lose.
