Feeling stressed today. I so wish I could just sit on wedding bee all day and read posts and look at all your pretty dresses! And eat a whole box of dunkin donuts!
I just moved to st louis with my fiance for his job, we lived about 2 and half hours away so its not TOO far but still, I dont know anybody here and it gets lonely sometimes, I just started a new job, its not even a hard job really, im a cashier but theres so much to learn there, and those stupid intercoms!! argh, never know what to say in them, I feel stupid there! at least its only seasonal, but I need the money anyway. I also have had the chance to work more with my photography, and am starting a buisness. I really enjoy this but I have 3 shoots I need to edit this week and work too!
On top of that my wedding is only 6 months away now, and everybody seems to be rushing me to get stuff done with it! I need to get bridesmaid dresses for sure picked out, I need to book my makeup/hair, I need to get an officient, I need flowers, invitations, Engagement pictures done.. argh 🙁
Sorry ladies I just needed to vent :/

It’s ok, we all need to vent. Just a little advice from someone who is literally drowning in work right now: try to find a way to get little things done for the wedding now (even if everyone is pressuring you and it makes you want to do it less). This exact thing happened to me, and now, with two weeks left, I feel like I can’t even enjoy it. Be stressed out now so you can enjoy it later 🙂

Hang in there sweetie! It does get better! I booked almost all of our vendors ~6 months out, so the last couple months have been pretty relaxing and I’ve had plenty of time to focus on regular life and put the wedding aside.
I hope you meet some new friends! I moved here a couple years ago and I’ve found it hard to make new BFFs. But I have met a lot of new people through an outdoor bootcamp, and it’s helped me stay fit and de-stress during wedding planning. If you have any time at all, you might want to do some kind of activity like that for fun! It really helped Mr. Wallaby and I!
Don’t worry about getting everything done at once – make a list of priority and do one or two things a week as you have time. The invites can wait for a month or two, as can the flowers. For the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses, if you’re really busy, could you ask your BMs to research dresses and get the Bridesmaid or Best Man dress search going? I would focus on booking the officiant first, since that’s, at the end of the day, the most important thing for a wedding.

Awwww I know how you feel! I am currently going to school AND working 3 ddifferent part time jobs, between 30-50 hrs a week AND my wedding is in 8 months!!! I also feel like people keep putting pressure on me. Have you done this yet, when are you going to do that??? It is driving me crazy!!! The only advice I can give you is make sure to take some time for yourself and your Fiance. Have a nice dinner, a glass of wine, and watch a movie!
