I’m a bit stuck figuring out what time I should arrive at my venue.
My current timeline reads something like this:
10:45 – leave for hotel to get ready
11:45 – arrive at hotel. hairstylist arrives.
12:40 – hair done. put on dress. makeup artist arrives.
2:00 – cousin picks me up and takes me to venue (10 mins away)
2:15 – arrive at venue (but at this point, our guests will be milling about the entrance, and that’s where I have to go through to get to the bridal suite)
2:35 – bridesmaids ready to walk out
3:00 – walk out with bridesmaids
The problem with this timeline as is, is that our guests will be arriving at 2 p.m. They might see me as I make my entrance to the bridal suite (or even on the way to the venue). If I get to the venue at 1:30, I would be sitting there for 1.5 hours before I can walk out. If I arrive at 2:30, somehow, it seems like I would be cutting it too close, as the ceremony would have already started. Having trouble figuring this one out.
The reason I wanted to get ready at the hotel is that it will be a lot quieter/calmer there. I’m prone to bad migraines, and I wanted to be away from the chaos as much as I can. I know it will be chaotic at the venue, with bridesmaids getting ready, etc.
Suggestions on the timeline?? Feeling stuck.
