I feel EXACTLY the same.  I can’t tell you what to do, but if you don’t feel good about yourself it may translate in the pictures.  and you don’t want to look back and be disappointed in the pictures.

I took my e photos with an extra 10 lbs and I only have 2 out if all of them I’m ok with using:( I really wanted to retake them and I regret not doing so. Fiance didn’t get it. I absolutely hated the pics. The 2 I got that covered my arms and stomach and is profile so you can’t see the weight in my face are REALLY good though.

I’m waiting. I feel like a little heffer. Heffer + pics = sad looking heffer

Also, one of my FI’s friends who recently got married is a photographer and they didn’t get their e-pics up until right before the wedding. It wasn’t weird at all.

I feel you on this one.  I’ve been trying to lose weight and eating right but the weight just isn’t coming off.  I’ve managed to lose about 18lbs but that is far from the amount i wanted to lose. Our e-picture shoot is scheduled for the last week in July and I’m just going to try and make the most of it.  Hopefully the pictures turn out ok.  Don’t fret abou your weight. Your Fiance loves you just as you are. And don’t forget to smile for the camera, I’m sure your pictures will turn out great!

@DanaE: If you truly want to try to lose some weight before you take your e-pics then go for it! There is nothing wrong with wanting that and you still have a ways for your wedding. If WW isn’t working for you then try the diet I’m on the Paleo diet (aka Caveman’s diet). In the beginning it sucks because you have to cut all dairy, sugar, and grains but it really works. I did the diet for 2 weeks straight to see how well I could do it and I saw and felt the difference. I also worked out and the best part was the Fiance did the diet and worked out with me.

Wait.  If you’re really unhappy with the way you look it will show in the photos.

I feel exactly like you do! We’re taking our E pics this Tues and I’m not ready! We can’t wait any longer though because we need them for our save the dates. I can’t tell you what to do, but know you’re not the only one out there so don’t feel bad!

I felt the same way as you – wanted to lose weight. Unfortunately, I never got around to it, and we really needed to get going with the pictures so I could do my bridals and prep for the wedding. After my chubby engagement session, I suddenly became very motivated for my bridals and wedding, and I’ve lost about 8 lbs. My photographer did some great things with our engagements, and I’m happy with about 85% of the pictures, even though I know they COULD have been way better if we had been happy with our weights. I sympathize with your feelings. At some point, you have to feel comfortable with who you are, regardless of your weight. That was my Zen mantra during our engagements. Wait or not, but do what feels right to you. Good luck and have fun!

Me and my fiance are losing weight not only for engagement pictures but for our lives, we want to start out healthy. We got on a program he lost 15 lbs and 16.5 inches and I lost 13 lbs and 17 inches. We could not be nay happier and we havent reached where we want to be yet. Totally transformed us though! Let me know if you would like some help, send me a message!!
