LeonardLady:  I know what you mean. I was just not very hunngry for the first few weeks of my pregnancy. They say to focus on protein but I found that fruits and veggies were easier to eat. That and string cheese. lol.

As for my first appointment, it was yesterday. The nurse brought us in and took my weight and blood pressure, went over a few questions, and then had me go to the bathroom so I would have an empty bladder for the ultrasound. She said when I was done I could go ahead and undress, so when I got back to the exam room I did and covered up with a paper drape. My Darling Husband thought it was super awkward lol. Then he and I just sat there for a while until the OB came in, she introduced herself, went over some more of my medical history, and then got ready for the ultrasound. For early ultrasounds they do them vaginally, and I guess a lot of people are uncomfortable because she kept apologizing and asking if I was ok. I was fine, lol. Anyway she found the baby and measured it, and even though I thought I was 8 weeks based on LMP, turns out I’m measureing a few days shy of 7 weeks, so we talked about how i most likely had a weird long cycle because it was immediately after having a BC implant. If I had been 8 weeks we would have done a blood draw for blood type and iron and infection screening etc, but since I measured early she asked me to come back in 2 weeks and we will do another ultrasound to make sure we are on track at 8.5 weeks and then do the blood draw etc. Then she printed out a picture for us and we were done.

LeonardLady:  I am sure everyone has already said but baby will get everything from you…really it only needs an extra 300 calories a day!  Your prenatal will supply you with everything you would need.  Congrats and have a H&H 9 months 🙂

LeonardLady:  any update? How far along are you?

AFM, I am 5W1D (found out Friday) and my appetite for the past week or so has been pretty nonexistent. I ate 2 small slices of pizza before I got full and a banana yesterday (and my normal evening snack of microwave popcorn) and so far today, I haven’t wanted to eat yet. I don’t typically eat a lot anyway, but now I feel guilty about not wanting to eat much.

LeonardLady:  That is the same for me. I will be 7 weeks tomorrow and I am not hungry at all and nothing sounds good to eat (which is unusual for me). Then I am starving out of nowhere, start eating and get full immediately.
