I stayed home today to rest because of the awful night I just had. As I was sleeping, someone rang the doorbell; I thought it was my SIL; she always rings when she knows I’m there, but as she has the key, I didn’t hurry to go answer. As I put a robe on, the door rang again. So I headed downstairs to answer. But I missed a step and fell down a few stairs, on my back/bum. When I finally got at the door, there was no one left, but I could see at the house in front of mine that it was just someone trying to sell stuff. I am so pissed off.
And scared about the fall down the stairs! It just happened, so I’m trying to wait it out and see if baby moves, if not I’ll call the doctor..

That’s so scary. I hope everything is OK. “Hugs”.
I can’t stand salesmen and telemarketers…no offence anyone.

i hope everything’s ok! try not to worry — baby is probably just fine. remember that he/she is cushioned in water for that exact reason. i’ve read that even a car accident would have to be really really bad to harm the baby directly.

Oh no!! Sounds like you need the Mr to diconnect the doorbell like we did 😉
I absolutely hate when people ring the bell (my family always calls first)
I am praying for you and KNOWING you are completely fine. Bet you were thankful for any cushion you might have back there! (Not to mention the pillows the baby is wrapped in)
<3 No worries!!!

Sorry to hear, but I bet your baby is better than you are.

@kelmac: This. A ‘no solicitors’ sign has gone a long way since I put it up.

Thanks you guys.
I rested, there is no bleeding, no contractions and my baby moved a lot in the hour after I fell. Now he hasn’t moved in a while, but this seems to follow his regular patterns, so I’m relieved.
My husband just told me to never get the door… And he’s right really, I mean, everyone who is important to us either calls before dropping by or has a key and are welcome to come in so anything else I’ll just let go.
Now it looks like I’ll have to deal with a sore neck, arm, back and tush for a day or two..

If it makes you feel any better, my mom fell down the stairs and broke her ankle when she was 5 months pregnant with me. She was on crutches for weeks afterwards! I was carried to term and turned out just fine. I am sure your little one is fine too. Hope you feel better soon 🙂
