So…. long story short… planning a rustic barn wedding (after which found out is ‘trendy’, but nevertheless) and had tried on some sweet, fit and flare lace and vintage style gowns… decided to expand my gown horizons and through an odd turn of events… had the moment that I had heard about but was convinced I wasnt going to have where you find ‘the one’ and have this moment where you just know and fall in love…. blah blah…. Oddly did not have the dress even on my list or anything. Had another dress with blush accents on my list to try on and they didnt have in store for me to try on. So my lovely dress helper asks if she can bring me another blush colored dress to try on just to get a visual for the color….. cried my eyes out as soon as I saw myself in all the mirrors. My Mom proceeds to cry as well and hug me and tell me how perfect it looks. LOVE it is! I had the ‘moment’! Yay! Now…. what the heck colors go with a pink wedding dress?!?! Fall wedding. Rustic themed, in a barn. Suggestions???? Pics????? HELP!!!!! I am now officially losing sleep over this……

Can you post a pic? I’d love to see the dress!
As for matching colors, maybe cream, taupes, light greens, browns? I wouldn’t lose sleep over it, I’m sure it will be fab 🙂

I agree with Diamondgurl…I would love to see the dress too. Anywho, I think any color can work for a rustic wedding.

@mamashellz25: ohhhh looooove blush dresses! I think it will be beautiful with your rustic wedding. I’d go for champagne, golds, ivory, taupey accents, even a sage type green would work.

Light browns, green, cream, gold, champagne, etc. Those color schemes are gorgeous and would go perfectly with a rustic barn.

champagne/or brown with sage accent for girls attire and khaki and sage for guys attire

If you had that reaction.. its your dress. You can easily incorporate it into your event as bluch will go with the burlap or the browns of the rustic look your going for. And you might even include a little blush accent somewhere in a ribbon on bouquets or somewhere else.

Pic please!! I love blush dresses *sigh*
I think for a rustic barn wedding charcoal suits for the guys, blush, ivory and burlap decorations. Maybe add a medium dull blue. If you are incrporating metal, try using dull looking silver (Don’t know what it’s called but it is not shiny).

Thats me in the dress! Sorry they are sideways… didnt see how to flip them. Also, I’m letting the girls choose their dresses. So they wont be matching… I have different sizes and shapes of ladies. Not to mention I am not a fan of the matchy bridesmaids look.

@mamashellz25: Go with grey, mint, or champagne chiffon bridesmaid dresses!
