Very pretty. If you like the 3-stone setting I’m sure you can fine something similar for less.

Maybe see if you can have one custome made for less? Or, if you don’t mind Moissanite, (that is what my stone is) it will lower the cost of the ring and still allow you to get the one you want.

Congratuations on your engagement!

$4000 is a lot to spend and honestly I wouldn’t use all of it on the ring. But that’s me. It’s a beautiful ring.

Have you thought about going custom.? David Klass has great prices from what I’ve seen and could make it. 🙂

Are you sure it’s $4000 including the center stone? Or is that just the price for the setting? That center stone looks like 1ct which is going to be a pretty penny.

Its an absolutely gorgeous ring though! You’re only getting one and you’re going to wear it every day for the rest of your life so get the one you really want. (20 years at $4k is about 50 cents a day).

I just looked online at Reeds and the setting is 4000.. It says it comes with a CZ that can be replaced with a diamond if you wish. So the center stone isn’t included in that price.

I second what someone else said – show that setting to a jeweler (I like https://www.etsy.com/shop/PrincessJewelersLA ) and I have used Ara several times for custom work. I had him quote me on a similar ring for a friend, and the setting was around $1200-1400 in 14k white gold. Then you can also tweak it the way you like if you want any changes.

Have you looked into pre-owned rings? I found one I thought may be your style for a starting bid of $200 on Ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Shane-Co-Engagement-ring-setting-white-gold-pear-sapphires-diamond-filigree-/142389261263?hash=item21270fb3cf:g:r2EAAOSwcaFZIIf5

briellar :  I second this. DK often quotes less than other sellers. And when he doesn’t, it’s safe to assume it’s because he uses better quality materials/stones. Even when he quotes less, he’s often using better quality.

Edit: Oops. Sorry, didn’t see you said you were done thinking about rings now. I’m glad you BF doesn’t care and is happy getting what you like!

Emily Merten :  They make you a wax mold that you can see before they make the ring. You have to approve the design before they cast it. You should check out David Klass instagram . His work is amazing.
